For the past several months, bed bugs have had New Yorkers throwing out furniture, avoiding movie theaters and even questioning the subway commute. Now they seem to have gone after the most famous velour sweatsuits in the world.
Juicy Couture CEO, Edgar Huber, announced yesterday that bed bugs were discovered at the Fifth Avenue location. The mega-sized, girly fashion flagship store, and largest Juice Couture store in the country, will be temporarily closed to exterminate.
His designs are known for a "classicism-meets-futurism" approach, the MAC site states. In addition, the cosmetic colors are reportedly inspired by the paintings of Johannes Vermeer, and designs evoke "a sense of love in the product."
Some stand-out products include the MAC and Marcel Wanders False Lashes, which is actually not false at all but rather an ultra-luscious brush and thickening formula that will create the look of a false lash without all that messy glue. In addition, the black mirrored metal powder compact and sleek candle-stick-shaped lipsticks will leave you torn about which you love better: the makeup you're wearing or the package it comes in.
Shopping online can be much like those Bing.com commercials we have all seen. Your search for a python clutch may have you browsing National Geographic, rather than the likes of Michael Kors or Rebecca Minkoff. But thanks to Google, the mother of all search engines, this issue may be solved. Google has just launched a new e-commerce site that puts the fashion you love at your fingertips.
Ideally, we would all love to flourish our loved ones with extravagant gifts during the holidays. But let's get real: we're broke. Hand-made trinkets and home-made treats are great if you have the time and the talent, but again, this may not be a reality. For many of us who are working with limited funds this holiday season, there are still plenty of stylish options.

“Basic Bitches" are a hot new friendship bracelet. No, not the kind that you made in camp or twisted together with colored yarn- it’s part of a glammed-up line of demin bracelets created by co-designers and best friends, Stephanie Hroncic and Kim Brady of KB.LuSH.
The B.F.F.s had been using denim hems as bracelets for years, wrapping the extra material around their wrists and mixing them with bangles and other bracelets. With so many compliments on their unique personal style, they branched out their business. “We started making jewelry out of recycled denim that we had along with fabric trims, buttons and other vintage, unique pieces of jewelry or brooches that we had laying around our house,” says Stephanie.
No, it's not too early to get a jump start on holiday shopping, especially when it comes to a sample sale.
Starting this Friday, November 4th, the California Market Center presents a Holiday Sample Sale that will repeat every Friday between now and December 17th. That's seven chances to score designer duds at below-retail prices.
As part of a new Facebook API location feature, announced today by Mr. Zuckerberg himself, Gap will be giving away lots of free loot.
The new application will allow shoppers to "check in" at a Gap location (on a certain date, yet to be disclosed) and as a thank you, the first 10,000 checked-in shoppers will be rewarded with a free pair of Gap jeans. After the first 10,000, the remaining shoppers to check in will receive 40% off a pair of jeans. The new Facebook feature will be similar to Foursquare, which also doles out promotions. However, with the coming launch of this new feature, scoring a great deal at your favorite retailer may just be a click away.

It may be the accessory of choice for superheros, but this Fall/Winter the cape is the super chic and versatile item in your wardrobe. From classic, elegant draping, to comfortable, casual knits, a cape is a great alternative for outerwear that adds a little flair. This season, designers are even incorporating trends such as military-inspired tailoring, Fair Isle patterns and chunky cable-knits. And if you find yourself hesitant to go a traditional cape silhouette, companies such as Zara, Nasty Gal and ASOS offer some more moderate, modern options.
