Baileys Vanilla Cinnamon is now available nationwide wherever spirits-based beverages are sold for a suggested retail price of $21 for a 750 ml bottle.
This Friday, October 18, gather the family, or your young-at-heart friends, and head to a Regal Cinema nearby to enjoy the premeire of "The Stream", starring BGCA Alum and Advocate Mario Lopez (Extra!, X Factor), Kelly Rutherford (Gossip Girl), Christopher Gorham (Covert Affairs) and Rainn Wilson (The Office, Super, Six Feet Under).
This unique coming-of-age comedy, set in 1981, will directly benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs of America with over 80% of producer proceeds going directly to the charity.
“The Stream” follows the story of five friends who embark on epic adventure. All they have to do is follow The Stream and back. With Mom gone for four-hours what could possibly go wrong? Encountering bullies, mystical creatures and a nasty storm, the friends will need the force of friendship to prevail.
In a world where news is constantly streaming into the public’s eyes and ears, it is difficult to make a strong impression—one that invokes the desire for action.
Coming up soon is World Food Day, a day that tries to raise awareness of the need for hunger relief and for food donations that are fresh and healthy. But how do we raise awareness? By making a friendly competition amongst NYC’s top chefs to create nutritious, delicious and affordable meals using only ingredients that are typically found in area food pantries!
Fall is a magical season—eliciting within us a sense of wonder, and a tingling feeling of optimistic anticipation. Is it because Thanksgiving is nigh? Or is it those beautiful leaves transformed into fiery canopies above our heads? Whatever it may be, fall in New York City is ephemeral and meant to be cherished.
And there is no better way to welcome in autumn than by checking out—and hopefully, participating in—the 21st annual Canstruction exhibition and food drive. This spectacular display will feature the panoply of sculptures made entirely of unopened canned food that will then be donated to City Harvest to be distributed to approx. 400 soup kitchens and food pantries throughout the city.

Taking after its neighborhood, Williamsburg, this candy store craftily combines vintage candies with unique, somewhat avant-garde confectionery selections. Handsome Dan’s serves up homemade, all-natural snocones and old-school sodas like Moxie, Nesbitt’s and Dad’s Root Beer.
In old-fashioned glass jars (so hipster!) you’ll find gummies, salt water taffy, Pop Rocks, jawbreakers, sour yummies, delectable chocolates and much, much more. If you want to go all-out-original with your candy selection, Dan’s offers Japanese Candy kits, local Brooklyn Sweets, and crazy cotton candy flavors like Earl Grey, Chocolate, Cherry and Peppermint. Don't worry, though, they wouldn't dream of leaving out classic Original Pink.
It’s been an unseasonably hot October this year; summer just doesn’t want to end the party! Well we aren't complaining, because with the hot weather comes the most refreshing drinks! One of which is Chef Richard’s, of Richard Sandoval Restaurant, Pink Ribbon Agua Fresca. Made of fresh watermelon and saturated in antioxidants, this drink is as delicious as they come.
This beverage is one of Chef Richard’s favorites since it was served at his grandmother’s dining room table and, in that way, honors one of the most important women in his life, while also paying homage to his Mexican roots.
Mayor Bloomberg's deputy press secretary, Samantha Levine, 38, was the driving force behind this project. Her colleagues, so riveted by this idea, did not use professional models for the campaign, rather, all 21 girls pictured in the campaign were the daughters of city workers, friends, and friends of friends, who believed it was important to participate.
