Inching their way closer and closer to our loyal dance music hearts is the music festival. Seeing them live is the ultimate experience, however, there's a new fest in town earning a lot of chatter in the digital music world. On February 12th-14th, Mixify.com will be hosting its largest event to date when RISE Digital Music Festival hits the digital stage.
Mixify is bringing in top headliners for the festival which include high-energy bass commanders Knife Party, Dutch house sensation R3HAB and rising trance producers, Tritonal. Also featured is an ultra-heavy roster of rising stars such as Russian phenom Arty, the internationally acclaimed Deniz Koyu, versatile fan favorite Carnage, Swedish talent Adrian Lux, and Billboard’s ‘One To Watch’ Danny Avila. They will be performing alongside Rob Garza of futuristic electronica group Thievery Corporation, BBC Radio 1’s own DJ Nihal, and dance-pop producers The Cataracs.
The buzz surrounding Flux Pavillion's brand new EP, Blow The Roof is anything but quiet. His first release since Lines In Wax in 2010, has the dubstep icon soaring to new highs as the eight track EP brings a new brand of dubstep to the electronic dance community.

John Dahlbäck has decided to shake things up a bit. The prolific, Swedish producer made headlines, most notably being named Pete Tong's 'Essential New Tune', in March 2012 for his hit record "Life." It's bubbling synths were heard across festivals and radio shows worldwide and now has a whole new vocal version. Dahlback has teamed up with fellow Swede, singer Agnes Carlsson as well as pegged remix work from Feenixpawl, Lazy Rich and Lunde Bros.
The long-awaited news about Electric Daisy Carnival New York has finally been spilled. Insomniac has announced that this year's festival will be returning to New York proper at Citi Field in Queens rather than returning to last year's location at New Jersey's MetLife Stadium. As of now, EDC NY is taking place over two days on May 17 and 18 but could potentially turn into three days as last year's was slated for two but quickly added another day after selling out within minutes.
Tickets go on sale Friday, Feb. 8th at 12pm EST. Two-day general admission tickets will start out at $159 with VIP tickets selling at $299 (before service fees) and a limited number of single-day tickets will be available at a later date. For more information visit here.
He's back and returning to his home that started it all. Tim Mason's first musical endeavor in 2013 comes in the form of the long awaited release of "Swoon" returning to the Size Records label which already received a spot for play on Pete Tong's BBC Radio 1 Show.
Although still a newcomer, the Brighton, UK based DJ and producer had a huge 2011 with hits like "The Moment" and its follow up track "Anima." With "Swoon," Tim did just what he does best and it's a track that could potentially set Tim to propel high on the EDM radar this year. It's covered with elevating melodies, driving beats and high-energy builds. It's without a doubt set to be a third consecutive success for Tim.

It's like all of our prayers have been answered, and yes...their will be a Paramore reunion after all.
Paramore have announced they will be hitting the road this spring for their first tour in nearly three years in what couldn't be a better prep for their new album, Paramore out on April 9th. With their comeback in tow, the group released their new single, "Now" to give fans a little taste of what's to come on the new album for the band members, Hayley Williams, Jeremy Davis, and Taylor York. Though the past two years have seen some slight bumps in the road for the band, they are sure to rock out when the tour kicks off on April 25 in Houston, Texas.
You won't find The Rolling Stones or Daft Punk headlining at this year's Coachella but If you're heading into the desert this April, it's still going to be a legit mix of artists. Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Phoenix, and The Stone Roses are the big bands headlining along with the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, the Lumineers, and Hot Chip will all be taking the stage. Huge electronic acts like Eric Prydz, Pretty Lights, Bassnectar, Dog Blood, Wolfgang Gartner, Dillon Francis, Danny Avila and Major Lazer will also be spreading their sounds across the desert land of Indio. Some fun Indie acts include Jessie Ware, Tegan & Sara, and Passion Pit.

In excellent fashion and not like we were doubting them, but Ultra Music Festival has geared up to bring dance music lovers to dance music heaven to celebrate 15 very successful years. The official Phase 2 line up has been unveiled which includes mega talent as well as a few surprises. They weren't joking when they said "2 weekends, 2 unique experiences" because that's just exactly what it's going to be.
No matter what genre you are a fan of, you'll find it at Ultra this year. Tents dedicated to techno, trance, dubstep, moombahton, trap and lastly, the live stage will all be in full force for both weekends.
