The long-awaited news about Electric Daisy Carnival New York has finally been spilled. Insomniac has announced that this year's festival will be returning to New York proper at Citi Field in Queens rather than returning to last year's location at New Jersey's MetLife Stadium. As of now, EDC NY is taking place over two days on May 17 and 18 but could potentially turn into three days as last year's was slated for two but quickly added another day after selling out within minutes.
Tickets go on sale Friday, Feb. 8th at 12pm EST. Two-day general admission tickets will start out at $159 with VIP tickets selling at $299 (before service fees) and a limited number of single-day tickets will be available at a later date. For more information visit here.
He's back and returning to his home that started it all. Tim Mason's first musical endeavor in 2013 comes in the form of the long awaited release of "Swoon" returning to the Size Records label which already received a spot for play on Pete Tong's BBC Radio 1 Show.
Although still a newcomer, the Brighton, UK based DJ and producer had a huge 2011 with hits like "The Moment" and its follow up track "Anima." With "Swoon," Tim did just what he does best and it's a track that could potentially set Tim to propel high on the EDM radar this year. It's covered with elevating melodies, driving beats and high-energy builds. It's without a doubt set to be a third consecutive success for Tim.
Listen to "Swoon" below and make sure to pick it up when it hits Beatport on Feb. 11th!
It's like all of our prayers have been answered, and yes...their will be a Paramore reunion after all.
Paramore have announced they will be hitting the road this spring for their first tour in nearly three years in what couldn't be a better prep for their new album, Paramore out on April 9th. With their comeback in tow, the group released their new single, "Now" to give fans a little taste of what's to come on the new album for the band members, Hayley Williams, Jeremy Davis, and Taylor York. Though the past two years have seen some slight bumps in the road for the band, they are sure to rock out when the tour kicks off on April 25 in Houston, Texas.
You won't find The Rolling Stones or Daft Punk headlining at this year's Coachella but If you're heading into the desert this April, it's still going to be a legit mix of artists. Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Phoenix, and The Stone Roses are the big bands headlining along with the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, the Lumineers, and Hot Chip will all be taking the stage. Huge electronic acts like Eric Prydz, Pretty Lights, Bassnectar, Dog Blood, Wolfgang Gartner, Dillon Francis, Danny Avila and Major Lazer will also be spreading their sounds across the desert land of Indio. Some fun Indie acts include Jessie Ware, Tegan & Sara, and Passion Pit.
