Generation Wild Tour Kicks Off North American Dates

With the recent explosion of electronic dance music in 2011, it's only proper that "our" generation be called "the beat generation" or better...Generation Wild. Why not, right? And with that in mind, prepare yourself because the Generation Wild Tour 2013 is coming our way. Kicking off January 31st, four extremely talented young DJs and producers will come together to bring music to the masses. Deniz Koyu, Danny Avila, dBerrie and Mikael Weermets will be joining forces as they bring their influences from all over the world together as one.

Joonbug x Stereoshock Present: Electric Nightlife with Special Guest, Thomas Gold

With a brand new year ahead, Josh Cohen, better known as Stereoshock, has jumped into 2013 with a pretty solid landing so far. Just releasing his remix of NERVO and Hook N Sling's "Reason," the young producer is only continuing to prove he's serious about his work and has no intentions of slowing down. With that said, we here at Joonbug are proud to host Episode # 44 of Electric Nightlife, Cohen's podcast show that began just one year ago and has since received major playtime around the world as well as special guests such as Sandro Silva, Starkillers, and W&W.

Rudimental Announces US Tour Dates

Part of the Big Beat recording fam, the genre defying band, Rudimental is finally crossing the pond and setting out to play in North America...and their doing it big. On the brink of their debut album release this coming spring, the quartet will be bringing their eclectic blend of sounds (which range from House to Garage to R&B) to some of the biggest music showcases this year.

Rudimental will be one of the live acts appearing at the first weekend of Miami’s Ultra Music Festival, and the guys will also headline a series of major concert dates including New York’s Bowery Ballroom;San Francisco’s Popscene @ Rickshaw Stop; and at the famed Troubadour in West Hollywood. In addition, they'll showcase their diverse influences through live DJ sets playing a string of Black Butter showcases in Miami, New York and LA. Additionally, their jam packed schedule also sees them making a number of appearances at Austin, Texas’ annual South By Southwest (SXSW) Music and Media Conference, scheduled for March 12th – 17th. Governors Ball Music Fest hits NYC June 7-9

The Governors Ball Music Festival 2013 is back for its third year and will be yet again taking over Randall's Island and as always, comes in first as NYC's best indie music festival! The fest is taking place over three days from June 7-9. The 2013 lineup has been announced and includes headliners Kanye West and Kings Of Leon along with a roster of super talented artists such as Azealia Banks, Icona Pop, Kendrick Lamar, Nas, Pretty Lights, The Knocks, Dillon Francis, Crystal Castles, and Paper Diamond to name a few.

Moguai Makes Stop at Electric Beach For Rare NYC Performance

This Saturday, January 26, Electric Beach welcomes a rare NYC appearance by German DJ/Producer, Moguai. He's been on the electronic music scene for more than a decade, and his DJ skills can prove it.
Inspired by the musical surroundings of the Ruhr area in Germany, including the sounds of Kraftwerk, he found his way as a DJ into the rave scene. Since then, he has created a distinct sound of his own leaving his mark on the musical map while those listening and dancing easily become enthralled by the man behind the decks.

New Video For Sandro Silva's 'Let Go Tonight'

The 22-year-old rising Dutch producer/DJ, Sandro Silva released his Let Go Tonight EP on Ultra Music last month and the label is celebrating the release with a brand new video for the title track, "Let Go Tonight" featuring Jack Miz.

As the title track it nicely showcases Sandro’s experience and capabilities as a songwriter. The song features Jack Miz’s vocals over a commanding hook and deft production. On a random night out there are possibilites for just about anything. “Let Go Tonight” plays out one man’s fantasy for the night as he documents it through photos and video.

Paul Oakenfold & Matt Goss Present: The Concrete Sneakers

Perfecto label boss, Paul Oakenfold teams up with London born and LA based singer, Matt Goss to create a sublime follow up to their 2010 release and successful single “Firefly.” The two have joinced forces uunder their brand new alias: The Concrete Sneakers. Through this venture, they highlight one another using their diverse musical backgrounds to create “Touch The Sky,” a crossover vocal track that has already earned extensive support.

Along with the release, a group of rising producers have been brought on to do remix work such as Dutch electro house maestros, Disfunktionas they turn the original into a progessive house anthem remix that Paul Oakenfold has been dropping on all of his recent shows including all of the gigs he has been playing in support of Madonna on her North and South American tour dates.

Dillon Francis has been killing it on his remixes lately. Recently, he put his touch on NERVO and Nicky Romero's "Like Home" and now he's just released his remix for Dada Life's "So Young So High" out today on Beatport.

Dill take's the original electro poppy version and throws in his version of trap snares and heavy bass drums. While we can't say we love it just yet we're excited to hear this when Dill throws down back to back shows at Webster Hall in NYC this weekend on Saturday, January 19 and Sunday, January 20. The song has a lot of potential so we're curious to see the reactions at Webster this weekend and who knows, maybe Mr. IDGAFOS will drop some new, original material!
