Grab a one-way ticket, and hop aboard VH1's train headed straight to Nostalgia Land. This October, the network will premiere the made-for -TV biopic of the beloved 90’s group TLC. VH1 released the trailer just this past week and fans are silly intoxicated with anticipation.
The film, appropriately titled CrazySexyCool, will tell the story of Tionne “T-boz” Watkins (played by Drew Sidora), the late Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes (played by Lil Mama), and Rozanda “Chilli” Thomas (played by KeKe Palmer). Follow the tale of the legendary trio: from their humble beginnings in Atlanta, Georgia to their worldwide superstardom.
TLC is well known for epic chart topping hits such as: No Scrubs, Waterfalls, and Creep , just to name a few. However, behind the hits were some ‘unpretty' tragedies. These included bankruptcies, beefs, arsonist crimes , and the untimely death of member Left Eye. The story is what bona fide sliver screen dramas are made of.
There has been some mixed reviews via social media about the unreleased film; the “twitics” have been very vocal about the questionable casting choices, and share doubts of the cable network doing the TLC tale justice. But let's wait until the movie hits the airwaves before we change our names to Siskel & Ebert.
