It always seems that every week a new sequel is getting released in to theaters. Even though not all of them always live up to the original, here are five that are worth checking out in 2014.
Andrew Garfield is returning as Peter Parker/Spider-Man as is Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy to this sequel to the 2012 reboot of the original Spider-Man franchise. This movie will see Spider-Man once again taking down the bad guys and spending time with his love Gwen. New characters are introduced in this film including Electro played by Jamie Foxx and Rhino played by Paul Giamatti.
Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill will once again go undercover for the sequel to the 2012 film. This time the duo will go undercover at college but when the two begin to head in different directions they begin to reevaluate their partnership. Ice Cube will also reprise his role in the film as well.
This is the first of the Transformers films to not feature Shia LaBeouf. This time, Optimus Prime will be joined by Mark Wahlberg in the lead role. Once again directed by Michael Bay, it is sure to include lots of special effects.
Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels are back in a sequel to the original film that was released in 1994. It has been reported online that the plot will involve the duo taking another trip, though this time it is about one of the guys trying to find their child. Once again directed by the Farrelly brothers, this one is sure to be as funny as the original.
Jennifer Lawrence will once again reprise her role as Katniss Everdeen. This time she must lead the Panem into a rebellion against the Capitol and figure out who she can trust. Liam Hemsworth and Josh Hutcherson will also reprise their roles as well. This movie will be followed by The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2 which is set to be released on November 20, 2015.
