With director David Fincher (Fight Club, Zodiac) at his side, Brad Pitt was in Tokyo today (January 28) to promote his new film “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.”
Based on an F. Scott Fitzgerald short story, Pitt’s new film is about a man who ages backwards, growing physically younger as he gets older. No members of the Japanese press asked him about the possibility of engaging in similar reverse process to ungrow his absurd mustache.
Alas, the romance of Chelsy Davy and Prince Harry has run its blue-blooded course. Apparently, the reason for the break-up between the royal heart-throb and his Zimbabwean-born blonde bombshell is the strain placed on their relationship by Harry’s commitment to the military and Chelsy being homesick for Zimbabwe. Seemingly not even princes can avoid the difficulties of maintaining long-distance love affairs.
Less than two years after David Beckham’s sensational move across the Atlantic, the football (soccer) world is rife with speculation that Major League Soccer’s most famous player may not return for another season with his club the Los Angeles Galaxy when the MLS season resumes in March. In the off-season, Beckham is playing on loan with seven-time European champions A.C. Milan, one of the game’s most fabled clubs.
It is thought that the former Manchester United and Real Madrid star joined the Rossoneri, as they are known, in a bid to prove to England manager Fabio Capello that he is worthy of a call-up to the England national team for their game against Spain in February. The reason that Beckham is so desperate to break into the lineup for this game is that if he makes it, he will equal the legendary Bobby Charlton’s record of playing for England 108 times- and at 33 years old, Beckham’s window of time for another England call-up is quickly closing.
Donny Osmond made an announcement today (January 27th) on The Bonnie Hunt Show that he will be a contestant in the next season of Dancing With the Stars, premiering in March. "Well, I guess I am making an announcement," Osmond said during a taping of The Bonnie Hunt Show, "I'll say I am seriously considering doing it, let's put it that way."
Donny will be following in the dancing shoes of his little sister, Marie who was on a previous season of DWTS. In the meanwhile, a rep for ABC told E!News, "We don't comment on casting rumors." Osmond also said "It is going to be very difficult because I am going to be doing Vegas on top of doing Dancing with the Stars."
Pop Diva Madonna and Yankee All-Star Alex Rodriguez have denied all rumors of a fling but apparently spent the weekend together at Jerry Seinfeld’s East Hampton home.
Last month, the pair was seen together in Mexico and shopping for real estate on the Upper East Side.

Soccer star, David Beckham is being sued by a photographer who was roughed up by Beckham’s bodyguards last month after Beckham confronted him. Paparazzi, Emicles Da Mata, is claiming he suffered serious injury from Beckham’s bodyguard. A police report was filed at the scene but no charges were made there. Da Mata is claiming assault and battery, negligence and intentional infliction of emotional distress and conversion.
Just after her scrapbooking debut in Anaheim, Paris Hilton headed off to London for the premier of the British version of her MTV reality show “My New BFF”.
Paris was spotted at the Covent Garden Hotel in London for the press premier of her new show “Paris Hilton’s British Best Friend”. Paris has already found an American BFF, but things aren’t really working out as planned with them.
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences that hosts the Oscars is suing an Arizona-based firm, Experience6, for allegedly trying to sell a ticket to the event for $175,000. The academy claims that Experience6 tried to "charge otherwise unimaginable prices for their illicit tickets." Experience6 has not given any information on how they obtained the ticket. An attorney for the academy, David W. Quinto, warned that any ticket buyers are vulnerable to fraud, and said security would be so tight that second-hand tickets would be inevitably identified. [afp]
