Kate Hudson always looks amazing when it comes to her red carpet style, but according to the actress, she really is just like the rest of us when it comes to being able to afford those dresses. In the December/January issue of Harper’s Bazaar, the actress stated that she never keeps the expensive designer dresses she wears because she can’t afford them.
Hudson, the mother of two sons, stated to the magazine, “I can’t afford to buy that stuff. There are certain things I splurge on, but it’s very rare, especially when you have two kids and school tuition.” The actress also credits her mother, actress Goldie Hawn, for her money saving ways as Hawn was never a big shopper either when Hudson was growing up.
One of Disney's most mysterious and menancing characters now has her own movie.
The preview for 'Maleficent' just premiered online today sending the Twitterverse into overdrive. The amazing and dynamic Angelina Jolie steals the spotlight in this minute and a half teaser for the new movie and not only did she nail the role of Maleficent, she sends chills down our spin as we anticipate this Blockbuster coming to theaters Summer 2014.
Maleficent is the main antagonist in the 1959 film "Sleeping Beauty". We remember her character as the mysterious and wicked "Mistress of All Evil" who puts a curse on main character Princess Aurora after not being invited to the royal christening.
Justin Bieber’s South American tour has definitely been eventful. First he wrote some graffiti on a wall in Brazil which upset the local police. A few days after that, a girl with a flirty smile films him while he is entirely asleep and posts the video on the web. The video may have been very short but it did raise questions. Some of his fans probably weren’t too happy to see that some girl had been sending him air kisses while he was deep in dreamland and the story with that girl isn’t yet over. Now he has upset even more people down there by leaving the stage mid concert once again. At least this time he has a good excuse for what happened.
Last night’s episode of the hit reality competition show “Dancing with the Stars” was filled with a lot of surprises. The theme of the evening was “trio”. All the competing stars had to do a performance along with two dance partners. Although doing a trio dance can be a tricky task for anyone to pull off, each contestant excelled at the challenge. They all looked good, danced good, and got really good scores from the judges. Too bad that on this show, looking good on the dance floor and getting a perfect score from the judges is sometimes just not good enough to save someone from a tearful elimination. Someone had to be voted off, and to much surprise, that someone this week was actress Elizabeth Berkley and her partner Val Chmerkovskiy.
Mark and Donnie Wahlberg are joining the world of reality television come January 2014. The brothers will both star in and executive produce a show about their family restaurant, Wahlburgers, located in Hingham, Massachusetts.
The show will give viewers a behind the scenes look at the restaurant, which is set to open a second location next year in Toronto. The show will not only feature the two brothers, but also, their mother Alma, and their brother Paul, who serves as the executive chef of the restaurant.
The classic 90’s teen film, 10 Things I Hate About You, that made the late Heath Ledger a heart throb, will soon have a long awaited sequel… well, kind of…
The original movie was based off Shakespeare’s The Taming of the Shrew, but the new movie will have an entirely different storyline and brand new characters. The plot will revolve around two people who meet before they are about to commit suicide, but instead end up falling for each other.
The 2013 MTV EMA’s proved to be an out of this world night full of awesome, gif-worthy moments, killer performances, and cheery celebs. Redfoo kept the space party pumping all night as the show’s host. He stripped off his suit and slipped into his most comfortable attire (a shiny, tiny speedo), and later in the show managed to stage dive into the crowd. Miley lit up a joint on stage. Will Ferrell made an appearance as the infamous Ron Burgundy and provided laughs and awkward backstage interviews with celebrities. Eminem took home the Global Icon Award and reminded us why he is a “rap god.” But the performances are what really made the night an unforgettable one.
Does it surprise you to know that most of the Hollywood movies produced and targeted at women are made/written/directed by men? Because the reality is that only 12% of modern American films have a female writer on staff, only 4% are directed by women, and only 6% give women an equal voice in front of or behind the camera. Cathryn Michon wants to change that. She also wants to make you laugh your ass off in the process. The triple-threat writer, director, and actress has teamed up with some of our favorite female comedians in her latest movie Muffin Top: A Love Story. Not only is it the perfect girl’s night romantic comedy, but it features more women than any other film has done in the past three years. Furthermore, when the movie is over, you can pop in the accompanying original all-female soundtrack so you have something to dance to while you bask in the glow of feminism.
It’s a sad time for Kourtney Kardashian’s husband Scott Disick and his family. Scott’s 68 year old mother, Bonnie Disick, has passed after suffering from a long illness.
Scott and Kourtney traveled to Long Island, New York on October 30 to attend Bonnie’s funeral. Sources say that although Kourtney was the only Kardashian who attended the funeral, her entire family is sad about Bonnie’s passing.
Scott hasn’t made any statements to the press but sources say that he was very close to his mother and is devastated by the loss. On their reality show, “Keeping up with the Kardashians”, Scott has pointed out several times that, unlike his wife, he is an only child and doesn’t come from a large family. In one of the episodes of the show he also very plainly said “I’m not good talking about death” . It’s a subject that makes him nervous to talk about it, so it’s not surprising that he hasn’t said anything to the media about his mother. It was only until very recently that the media even got the reports of her passing. He's been keeping a low profile and has been MIA at camera filled Kardashian events.
Our condolences go out to Scott and his family on this difficult time.
Oscar winner Jennifer Lawrence stopped by the Yahoo headquarters on Wednesday night for a Q&A, where she revealed a lot more than just a daring new pixie hair cut. The 23 year old got into a deep conversation where she was pretty open about her thoughts on so many things, including tabloid rumors, embarrassing moments, her teen crush, working on big Hollywood films, and body image.
During the interview, Jennifer made it clear that she isn’t one of those starlets who are full of themselves because of their good looks. She had tripped on her own dress at the Oscars and while filming a scene for “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire,” but she can now laugh it off. She joked about the difficulties of wearing her character’s Katniss’ wedding dress during the interview and also commented that one of the funniest moments on the set was when she got whacked in the butt during a fight sequence.
