Yes, this is real life.
Just a few weeks after plans surfaced of a Boy Meets World follow-up, our nostalgic wishes have been granted. It has been confirmed by TV Line that Ben Savage and Danielle Fishel will be reprising their signature roles as Cory Matthews and Topanga Lawrence in the aptly titled Girl Meets World.
The reboot is being done by the Disney Channel and Boy Meets World creator himself Michael Jacobs, with the premise paralleling the original show's pilot season. The setting will take place more than a decade after the show's original run, with the main character being Cory & Topanga's 13-year-old daughter Riley Matthews. Shooting is scheduled to start in February.
Guilty pleasure, Girls Aloud is back! (Speaking of comebacks: hello again, fellow quidnuncs! It has been awhile, but here I am.)
The UK pop scene - not to mention, yours truly & fellow GA superfan Perez Hilton - is buzzing with excitement as news of the band's long-awaited reunion surfaced. Ever since a mysterious countdown alluding to a big announcement appeared on the official website last week, rumors have flooded the Internet nonstop. Fingers crossed...news of a highly-anticipated tour, perhaps?
Just when you thought models and musicians could finally have a happily-ever-after aside from David Bowie & Iman...tsk tsk.
One of the entertainment industry's most beautiful couples have called it quits after two years of dating. Maroon 5 frontman & The Voice judge Adam Levine, 33, and 8-time Sports Illustrated and Victoria's Secret model Anne Vyalitsyna, 26, have split according to her rep confirming with People magazine.
The solution to Adam's break-up blues? Perhaps a little rebound with another Anne...a writer of some sorts, with lots of witty pop culture commentary experience & talent...alright, never mind.
So ladies of New York, how was your Valentine's Day?
No other "holiday" can instantaneously turn single ladies into either Lovestruck Lucys...or the latest member to join Junk Foodies Anonymous. Why though? Surely there are plenty that are neither of the two! Who says every woman that went out last night had a good time? (I myself have a significant other, but we really didn't have the time to do much except share a Subway sandwich.) And who says the ones who didn't was curled up in her room, miserably crying over A Walk to Remember while worshipping a human shrine made of gum a la Helga Pataki?
Katherine Heigl feuding with someone? Again?
The former Grey's Anatomy actress has always kept it real. Who is she picking a fight with this time? Basically, everyone associated with the Lifetime reality show Dance Moms. Although this time around, she may be in the right.
Katherine Heigl turned to her iVillage blog and expressed her disappointment with dance tyrant Abby Lee Miller, as well as the mother/daughter dynamics of the show. Right below are just a few excerpts from herentry:
Sloth is definitely a deadly sin - deadly enough to make an emotional birthday girl cry!
Girl-next-door actress Kristen Bell just gave us another reason why it is so damn difficult to hate her. The 31-year-old star from Veronicas Mars fame stopped by The Ellen DeGeneres Show recently for a little chat. Currently, Bell is appearing in the Showtime series House of Lies and is also featured in the upcoming film Big Miracle. The real story here, however, is when the Bell excitedly talks about the memorable birthday she had last year.
“It was a long time in coming,” an unknown close source says.
After suffering a stroke just over a month ago, comedian Patrice O'Neal passed away yesterday, November 29th.
His agent Matt Frost confirmed the news in a statement, while expressing his gratitude towards Patrice's fans and friends who expressed support as he battled for his life following the stroke on Oct. 19. He states that O'Neal's mother, Gloria, was right by his side until his very last breath. Aside from his later issues with the stroke, Patrice was also 300 pounds and struggled with diabetes for the majority of his adult life.
The hosts of Sirius XM radio show "Opie and Anthony" (and friends of O'Neal) were the first to broadcast the devastating news. Gregg (Opie) tweeted:"Yes, it's true that our pal Patrice O'Neal has passed away. The funniest and best thinker I've ever known PERIOD #devastated." Healso provided a link to a video of his late friend laughing on the radio show and added: "Patrice O'Neal Greatest Laugh EVER."
No one wanted to be a mother more than Lily Allen. We are thrilled to report that her wish has been granted.
The 26-year-old has given birth to a baby girl over this past weekend with painter/decorator husband Sam Cooper.
What makes this news so delightful to share is due to Lily Allen's share of heartbreak in the past. In 2008, she suffered an early miscarriage when she was with then-boyfriend Ed Simmons. Another devastating event occurred last November of 2010 where she lost her baby boy with Cooper - six months into the pregnancy - after she contracted a viral infection.
Lily Allen's journey towards motherhood has been difficult one, full of ups & downs. We are glad to learn of the good news - she truly deserves it. Congratulations to her, Sam, & Mini-Cooper!
Another shout-out for this week is a happy 33rd birthday to Rachel McAdams. We all know her as the woman we both admired and hated simulatenously in girl classics like The Hot Chick, Mean Girls, & The Notebook. We know she's sorry that we're really jealous of her...but she can't help it that she's popular.
Not only has McAdams portrayed the signature gorgeous blonde in high school and the romantic lead in a Nicholas Sparks novel, the versatile star has also ventured into other film genres. From psychological thrillers like Red Eye to frat boy comedies like Wedding Crashers all the way back to romantic drama The Time Traveler's Wife. Right now, the actress is keeping herself busy with many projects, notably the sequel Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows. Also next on the lineup is The Vow, also a romantic drama, co-starring Channing Tatum and is set for release in February 2012.
