When a colossal force like W&W hits the stage, you won't know what just hit you. Big room, high-octane sounds are a definite, but there's so much more to W&W's mystique. The duo hails from the Netherlands, the DJ capital of the world, and they have gained such an immense fanbase in just a short span of time. Their popularity can be attributed to the wildly successful tracks that they produce, which has caught the attention of Trance Goliath, Armin Van Burren, early on. Since their ASOT debut, W&W just can't seem to catch a break from the whirlwind of fame and success.
Like any great artist, W&W had their humble beginnings at local clubs and venues, only to find themselves taking full reign over leading festivals in no time. We got to find out some of W&W's earliest inspirations and the key behind their inexplicable ability to deliver only the highest quality of music to the fans.

If you aren't familiar with the legendary, Grammy nominated artist, Armin Van Buuren, or Armin for short, you will be now. Electronic dance music has been making all the big headlines at award shows and chart-topping lists geared towards music and Armin just set the bar really high for all his predecessors. While many EDM artists, whether it may be Trance, House or Dubstep, are gaining quick recognition for single EP releases and hit remixes, Armin is solidifying his position amongst top artists and musicians across borders.
Armin Van Buuren sets the record for the most tally's on Billboard's 'Dance/Electronic Albums Chart' with his recent debut of his album, "A State of Trance Year Mix 2013." This specific album landed at the No. 21 spot, but it's also his 10th charted title within his "State of Trance" series to make it on the list. In the grand scheme of things, this marks Armin's 20th charted album in total, surpassing Louie DeVito by a single tally.
In lieu of Armin Van Buuren's recent Armin Only: Intense tour, he has since come out with bi-weekly road movies to capture what it's like to be on the road for this journey. Armin, as always, is characterized by his easy-going yet professional manner, showing true qualities of a tour veteran. Unlike most tour videos that will capture only the insane and 'fun' aspects of DJ's touring, Armin's road movies show a different quality. It delves deep into the production that goes into the shows, as well as, the crew that supports his tour immensely.
2013 is coming to a near finish, which means it's time to reflect on the year's most exciting Artists and DJs. The rise of EDM is no secret and not to be overrated. With an abundance of new talent, artists recreating their sound, and stellar festival sets that stood out from the rest, the EDM scene looks like it's constantly generating exciting buzz all throughout the year. Here's our pick of the Top 20 DJs who's made a great impression in the electronic music scene:
It's no secret that Robbert van de Corput, better recognized as, Hardwell, was crowned DJ Mag's #1 DJ. In 2011, he entered the Top 100 list at #24, quickly rising the ranks to #1 in a matter of only two years. There's a reason why he's been voted the top DJ, just look at the views on all his major festival sets on Youtube. His Tomorrowland set garnered 16+ million views while his Ultra set is at 17+ million views. The numbers certainly speak for themselves. At only 25 years old, there's no slowing down this festival tycoon anytime soon!
Cosmic Gate, German trance duo made up of Claus Terhoeven (aka Nic Chagall) and Stefan Bossems (aka Bossi), have been producing music for over a decade. We had the pleasure of having a chat with them before their show at Pacha on December 13th.
What has been the favorite track off the Wake Your Mind Deluxe Edition-- both personally and on the dance floor?
It depends on the mood on the dance floor and it depends on the club. Some crowds are more bouncy and some are more trancey and it’s different listening to the track. You feel one track more than another one day to the next. So we will not really go and put one out against another. If you just heard it and sometimes we love it for two to three weeks. Then once they get tired of it again I’ll have a different favorite. We don’t want to pick a favorite but it’s good that we have the option to pick.
Ultra Music Festival 2014 is turning up the heat, as they have announced Phase One of the festival taking place March 28-30 in Miami. Featuring the likes of Armin van Buuren, Avicii, and Zedd, to MGMT, Pusha T, and Waka Flocka, there is no way there will be a dull moment during the three day fest. See the flyer below for the full list of Phase One performers. Stay tuned, as Phase Two performers will be announced soon!
We were only inches away from the legendary, Armin Van Buuren, as he made his way behind the bar to stand on an elevated platform to make his big announcement. His upcoming North American leg of his ARMIN ONLY: INTENSE worldwide arena tour kicks start on April 11th at none other than Madison Square Garden in New York.
Having previously held his ASOT 600 installment in the same legendary venue, it only made sense to revisit the same grounds to make his upcoming tour an incredible experience. On choosing the location, Armin describes Madison Square Garden as the "perfect location for a show this size, easy venue to get to" then to add a moment of pride for all New Yorkers, he adds "if you're in New York you better be at the best place possible."
