When it comes to the revolution of electronic dance music, make no mistake that the Dutch DJs are the pioneers of it all. Amongst DJ Mag's Top 100 DJs, 6/10 of the Top 10 DJs are all Dutch, and even apart from a very calculated list, there's no denying that the most recognizable names in the industry have some of that Dutch blood pulsing through their veins.
Just to name a few, artists like Tiesto, Armin Van Buuren, Afrojack, Laidback Luke and Hardwell, were all featured in the film speaking in their native Dutch language. The film, which is available in select screenings across the US, follows the lives of these superstars as they go from one event to another explaining the sucess and influences of Dutch producers.
Wardt: The story behind it is probably because it says "1, 2, 3 JUMP" before the drop. It actually wasn't on purpose, he was like "I'm just going to put this here as a sample" because people don't know the tune and when you put samples in they'll like it better for the first time. And in the end it just stayed in there.
EDM double threat, Starkillers, is set to release his remix of Armin van Buuren vs. NERVO's single 'Turn This Love Around' featuring Laura V. This heavy-hitting remix, out November 15 on Armada, will be a part of van Buuren's mix album, Intense, and is a certified banger. We have just learned that Dutch trance music producer and DJ, Armin Van Buurin, has joined the 2013 iHeartRadio Jingle Ball line up; a roster that includes none other than twerk star, Miley Cyrus, X-Factor's Fifth Harmony, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Fall Out Boy, and more musical stars from all over the genre map. The event will also be televised for the first time ever! Catch it on the CW Network as a two-hour nation wide broadcast on December 18 at 8pm, eastern time.

Electric Zoo makes its triumphant return to its original location, NYC's Randall’s Island Park this Labor Day Weekend (August 30-September 1st) for three days of the world's best in electronic music. To celebrate E Zoo’s fifth anniversary there will be two main stages on expanded festival grounds—which can only mean more confetti, more music, and more fun. The two stages, designated Main Stage West and Main Stage East, will have headliners such as Avicii, Knife Party, Dada Life, David Guetta, Armin van Buuren, and Laidback Luke and others yet to be announced. This year there will be a total of five stages in addition to the two main stages for all you zoo animals out there to choose from.
