Typically, when an artist has a listening party for their new music, it's a huge affair and all around media circus. There's usually a handful of die-hard fans in attendance, surrounded by a swarm of press, and everyone is desperately trying to snap pictures and score exclusives. All of this is exactly what Afrojack was trying to avoid when he decided to do something a little special this past Tuesday in New York City.
Down in the Meat-packing District, a colorful cast of fans and friends gathered outside of Avenue, an illustrious 2-story gastro-lounge/event space, and waited patiently for the velvet rope to par and grant them access to this intimate private event. From 9pm to 11pm, before the venue officially opened for business, Afrojack spent his time talking to guests, having drinks, and most importantly, playing all the never-heard-before tracks from his upcoming album.
Some may consider Christmas the most wonderful time, but ask any fashionist prancing along the Manhattan streets and she will give a different answer: New York Fashion Week. Not all of us have the priveledge of attending runway shows amongst celebrities, stylists, and socialites but it's don't wallow, Joonbug has got you covered by providing a list of chosen events and after parties celebrating NYFW. There ain't no party like an after party because an after party don't stop, can't stop and won't stop this week. Viva la fiesta .

People in high-culture and high-fashion reside in the area, which makes surrounding venues very exclusive hotspots.
For people who enjoy the sports bar scene, but also enjoy luxury, head over to Bounce Uptown this NYE. Matt Levine, the entrepreneur behind NYC hotspots The Eldridge and Sons of Essex is at it again. The Cocktail Bodega, set to open in late July, will offer liquor infused smoothies and fresh squeezed juices.
It can’t get any better, right? Wrong!
Chef Roblé, reality star and chef responsible for Avenue New York, is set to provide a menu of tropical themed dishes to complement the specialty drink creations.
Its home at 205 Chrystie Street will definitely leave guests impressed. We also have no doubt that celebrities will pop in every so often, as Levine’s Sons of Essex has hosted the Twilight Breaking Dawn cast party, and is rumored to have hosted Justin Bieber’s newest album release.
(For you Beliebers, OMG!)
This spot will surely be a summer treasure from the minute doors open.

I have had a really fun week! I went to the last Mets night game on Tuesday (say what you want about them this season, but I have faith next season will be their season!! ), they played the Cincinnati Reds. It's no secret that I have a major crush on David Wright. While I always see a lot of Athletes at the clubs, he is one I have never seen and am dying to meet out. I hear from my friends who work for the Mets, he's actually a really nice guy too. David, if you're reading this or if someone who knows David Wright is reading this, PLEASE contact me. I'm so obsessed with you, I want your game worn pants so I can sleep in them. I'm not creepy, I swear…
