Jimmy Choo Jasmine Clutch, $1,695
The mixture of white and coral on this python skin clutch gives it a simple, classic look. We love the use of silver hardware against the warm color to give it more of an edgy appeal! If you have the money to splurge on something this fantastic, and are in need of a chic day clutch, we say hail to the Choo!
Proenza Schouler PS1 Pochette Leather Clutch, $895
The baubles by Trina Turk for Banana Republic are finally here! We’ve heard tid bits about this collaboration since January and have been awaiting the arrival of the collection put together by these two fashion power houses. Good news: it has finally hit the shelves of Banana Republic stores as well as their online store.
The collection is a perfect summer assortment of bright and bold pieces with 60 designs that include accessories (everything from hats, to jewelry, to clutches), swimwear, and clothing. The prices are a perfect mixture, accommodating all budgets with products in the $35 to $150 range.
This summer there are some great trends for men to don; from 3.1 Phillip Lim’s ombre obsessions, to Louis Vuitton’s work and sportswear, there seems to be inspiration everywhere for men to go mad with fashion this season. However, before you get started on your summer shopping, or try bringing out those super short jorts (jean shorts) you men all seem to love when the warm weather comes, we are having a ‘What Not To Wear’ moment at Glam Damn It and for your own sake (as well as your partner’s) suggest you check out our men’s summer fashion don’ts before you realize you might be sporting one of them.
Memorial Day weekend is almost here and with it comes parties, barbecues, beach time, and lots, and lots, of fun activities. Now we just need to figure out what to wear! Whether you're hitting the Hamptons, Cape Cod, or Miami you'll need great style. Here are a few great summery essentials we love that include trends of the season from floral prints, to white, bright, and color blocking. It’s time to start packin’!
Clutch or Bag- That is the question!
Whether it is an all weekend event, or a couple hours for the day, make your choice of handbag accordingly. We love these summery styles as the blue and white stripe clutch by Rag & Bone shows a little nautical spirit, and Club Monaco’s Goldie Moroccan Bag has that beachy feel to it with the wicker weave and the gold-dipped bottom.
Casual, comfortable, cool; we like to wear denim all over--not just limited to our jeans. For spring and summer, denim is taking even bigger risks showing up in dresses, vests, and all kinds of washes. Stepping away from the traditional jean shorts and skinny jeans that have always served as spring and summer staples for those hot days and breezy nights, denim is stitching itself into some of the most exciting and most fashionable fashion must-haves for the upcoming season. We can't wait to get our denim on.
For a fun and flirty look that is as conservative as it is daring, we love this Asos Cut Out Back Denim Dress. It's perfect for a day at the park with friends or paired with cowboy boots for a long night of singing and dancing at your favorite summer music festival. We love this piece not only for it's versatility (we can wear it to work, too!) but also because it's budget friendly for the rest of us working girls!
Fashion and wine could quite possibly be our two favorite things here at Glam Damn It, so one could only imagine our delight upon the news of this latest, and quite surprising collaboration!
No, this would not be the first time the fashion and libation worlds have collided...Jean-Paul Gaultier has dabbled in champagne, Jeremy Scott has teamed up with Tanqueray, and Ed Hardy and Roberto Cavalli have each tried their hands in vodka.
Banana Republic has become the latest brand to reveal a collaboration, this time teaming up with California winery Clos du Bois, to produce limited-edition bottles of their North Coast Chardonnay and North Coast Cabernet Sauvignon. The partnership could not be a more perfect match, as Banana Republic has long established itself as a go-to for chic, elegant attire and nothing compliments a soiree quite like a sophisticated bottle of wine.
"We jumped at this unique opportunity to give our classic Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon a stylish holiday makeover," remarks Gary Sitton, winemaker at Clos du Bois, as reported by 944 Magazine. "We are still offering the same quality and consistency of the wine itself, but with a festive twist that makes it even more enjoyable to drink."
Stylish makeover indeed! The bottles come adorned with labels designed by Simon Kneen, Creative Director at Banana Republic and make for quite the collector’s piece.
The tech-savvy bottles which retail for under $20, also feature bar codes which when scanned by smart phones, reveal holiday entertaining tips, ideas and more from industry experts, making these the perfect gift for a host or hostess.
Enough said...we’re ready to don our LBD’s, grab a bottle or two, and let the parties begin!!

When you think "Fall Fashion Week", excitement, celebration, and fun probably come to mind. What about Baltimore? No, doesn't pop up? Well, we bet after you read this it will.
The fourth annual Baltimore Fashion Week, a four day long event, showcased a variety of designers that might not have otherwise had a chance to be seen.
From last Thursday, August 18th, through this past Sunday, August 21st a variety of designers such as Kalai Kai by Karen Garalde, a Baltimore based brand described as being modern with a classic elegance, while “up-cycling” clothing into more wearable styles.
Today we begin our Autumnal 2011 Styling Guide. This will be all about the trends, how’s, who’s, and what’s to wear this coming season. Autumn, a word often not used enough evokes more than just a love for the changing seasons. It calls to mind fire places and back yard fire pits, football games, and so much more. Ok, the word autumn is sometimes a little pretentious. It is also a time for many to return to school and this year and we here at Joonbug would like to help be your most chic.
Here is a peak at Banana Republic’s new Fall collection, inspired my AMC’s hit TV show, Mad Men. Although the premiere of the next seasons show has been pushed back, the 65-piece collection for men and women is said to debut this August.
Flowers are beautiful. There's no doubt about it- whether planted, or gifted, or worn, they're gorgeous. Flowers in fashion create an image of fantasy and whimsical daydreaming, and are beautifully feminine. Flowers first appeared in fashion during the 60's- the age of Flower Power and brightly dressed hippies- and we've loved them ever since! Although not as heavily seen in mainstream style after that period, they still show up every now and then.
In the late 90's, the flower returned in the wardrobe of Carrie Bradshaw, but this time as a pin rather than a pattern. Carrie was, and still is, a major fashion icon, even though she's fictional. She accessorizes with flowers that she attaches to her clothes, which complete each outfit in a very Bradshaw-esque way, unique to only Carrie herself. In the 2008 film , Carrie exhibited her love of flowers more than ever during the first scene, wearing a gorgeous white dress with a shimmering gold flower on the shoulder.
