This past Friday, Pete Tong premiered a brand new single on his BBC Radio 1 show from Adrian Lux , titled "Sooner or Later.” You can now listen to the radio edit of the single on Soundcloud and Spotify! The track goes really smooth but yet has a lot of energy packed inside of its deep house percussion and synths. Along with vocals from Kaelyn Behr "Sooner or Later" is such a beautiful track that can be played in just about any setting.
It’s been about two years since Annie Mac performed on this side of the Atlantic, which makes her upcoming North American tour that much more special. Some of you may know her as the world renowned host for her award winning radio show, BBC Radio 1, and others may have even heard her voice countless times before and don’t even know it.
Well, she’s importing her talents back over this month and she's bringing some companions along with her to furnish the dance vibes. Kicking off her tour in a week’s time at Output in Brooklyn, Annie will make her way across the states on her nine-date tour ending in Miami on Friday, March 28 at LMNT for this year’s Miami Music Week.
Forever one of, if not the most unique and well-known band to ever grace dance music with its presence, Above & Beyond have continued to push their sound upward and outward into the farthest reaching corners of the industry, both through their own releases and through those of artists like Arty and Mat Zo on their world-renowned Anjunabeats imprint. Now, Above & Beyond have greeted 2014 in their own special way, celebrating the label's 300th release with their latest single, 'Hello.'
This week, Tiesto will be the special guest featured on BBC Radio 1's Essential Mix. This is huge, considering that the last time Tiesto graced the Essential Mix was back in 2006. It will be a very special Clublife Afterhours Essential Mix, featuring deep house and techno tunes from Avicii, Joris Voorn, Chris Malinchak, and many more.
For fans in North America, you can tune in on Saturday, February 1st at 8pm EST/5pm PST via the BBC website, here.
Kanye West was yesterday's main guest of Jimmy Kimmel's late nite show, where they both got to talk about and settle their recent Twitter argument. The feud began when Kimmel made a spoof of Kanye's latest interview with BBC Radio 1. From there things got a little out of hand on social media sites, but it was nice to see that these two very different guys have decided to squash to squash their beef. Being very friendly towards each other on air, both Kanye and Kimmel were able to give their side of the story and explain what they were thinking at the time of the argument.
When a rare opportunity comes your way, the natural reaction is to take it right away. Well, when Eric Prydz comes to the states, especially New York City, it shouldn't even be a question but more a programmed reaction that you'll be in that crowd. An icon to fans both in the mainstream and underground scenes, Prydz has championed a level of success through his music and producing skills.
While we caught a Prydz appearance over the summer at Identity Festival and again at his short show at Beekman, fans who missed him there now have a second chance to see the sensational Swede play two shows at Roseland Ballroom on November 21st and 24th.
