Hotel El Convento: Located in Old San Juan, Puerto Rico, this small luxury hotel is offering a Romantic Memories Package starting at $250 a night. For many New Yorkers, the feeling of attempting to navigate through Pacha's jam-packed dance floor is, uncomfortably, a familiar one. In a city that boasts some of the most impressive lineups weekend after weekend, sacrifices must sometimes be made to take full advantage of all that New York clubs have to offer. So last weekend, we decided to venture out of the confines of Manhattan and explore some new territory.
When word first spread that Above & Beyond was to play at Mixx, one of the two clubs in Atlantic City's highly-esteemed Borgata hotel, a road trip down the turnpike seemed like the only logical plan of action. While most usually associate our neighboring state with MTV's favorite fist-pumping clubbers, AC has always stood out in a distinct way of its own. And lately, after the launch of a massive new advertising campaign, it is clear that the identity of the city has shifted from that of a shady gambling mecca to more of an epic destination. Visitors are urged to "do AC," a vacation spot that is all-encompassing, and one that offers less of a predetermined culture and more of a clean slate. It is here that experiences are created, and whether spending a weekend at the heartbreak hotel or hitting the jackpot for the first time, AC can mean anything to anyone at any time.

That land across the Hudson River is called New Jersey. It’s a state, like New York, and by way of a bridge and couple of tunnels, people commute over to New York City for work, dinner, friends, etc. Sometimes, at the same instance, the reverse occurs. The tide of thrill seekers shifts towards the Garden State for various destinations and attractions.
Whether you're a New Yorker or a Jersey 'res there are parties and events happening throughout Jersey that you don't want to miss, so buddy up and check out these dates for a ridiculous time.

It’s coming. July 4th weekend. Three days off of work, maybe four, if you play your cards right. Your friends are preparing to throw dice at the Borgata, BBQ at the Hamptons’ hideaway, swim at Rehab’s cloudy pool, but you, you’re packing an RV and heading to a lesser known destination: Rothbury, Michigan, home of the Sherwood Forest.
This is not your dad’s dream of a family trip cross country in an RV. This is not a hunt for Robin Hood. This is a journey to Electric Forest: The Return of Rothbury, where you will embrace good vibes and independence by wandering through an LED lit forest, stumbling on music stages, arts booths, or any other magical wonders: a life-size version of Mousetrap, glow-in-the-dark Disc Golf, horses, or even group yoga.
This Saturday, April 2nd, Grammy-award winning producer and DJ David Guetta performs at the Borgata Event Center in Atlantic City. General admission tickets have already sold out, but premium tickets and table service options are still available. Call 609-317-7155 for more information, but be prepared to shell out some major bucks – premium tickets start at $145 a pop, and table service starts at $2000 for a group of eight.
The 30,000 square foot venue is located at the Borgata, one of Atlantic City’s hottest and most glamorous nightlife spots, and the home of popular dance club mur.mur, where Chris Willis – a frequent collaborator of Guetta’s – will also be performing on April 2nd.
On the surface, Southern New Jersey is much like the brackish bays that cradle our coast. The weather is warm and inviting in the summer, but once winter comes everything freezes over. In reality, the locals are relaxing and enjoying the calm until the thaw arrives and, soon after, summer itself. So what is there to do in South Jersey in the winter besides haunt table games at any number of casinos? The answer is live music. To my dismay, my favorite bar and live music venue recently closed. The Pearl was my go-to place for good music and dinks, and since its unfortunate closing, I've been wondering where I can go to drink a beer and watch a band, on the cheap.
