The music portion of the South by Southwest (SXSW) festival will take place from March 11th -- 16th. In this series of talented music showcases, artists from all genres across the board will be featured during the biggest music festival to be held in Austin, TX.
The SXSW festival is legendary for jump starting the careers to many musicians, just ask John Mayer who got signed to his first record label after his showcase at the 2000 SXSW Music Festival. This year, they will feature some of the hottest musicians in the game right now, let's take a look at some of them:
With Miami Music Week inching closer and closer, it's getting harder and harder to plan out where to go and who to see. Luckily, HARD Events is making the decision easier by returning to downtown Miami for two nights of HARD Miami on Wednesday, March 26th and Thursday, March 27th. Setting up shop at Grand Central, the team responsible for HARD Day of the Dead and HOLY SHIP!!! will be putting on back to back nights of blazing beats with two of the hottest lineups.
Although we never saw this colloboration of masters coming, Skrillex and Boys Noise make up the duo Dog Blood, and as such, they have been dropping some fire tracks. This interview was filmed a little time before the release of their last EP Middle Finger Part 2 - which was utterly epic. They discuss they came together to create music and what inspires them as producers. Check out the video interview above.

Skrillex and Boys Noize make a pretty damn good team. The tag team ripped up the Ultra Worldwide tent on Sunday, March 17, as they made their debut at Ultra Music Festival as Dog Blood. The set was killer and it was a treat since they were only on the lineup for the first weekend. Needless to say, festival goers had quite an experience to watch Skrillex drop the bass alongside his other half; Boys Noize who brought his signature beats.

Last week Skrillex posted a teaser video on his Facebook page for a song entitled Next Order. The track came from unknown artist Dog Blood, whose premier EP was scheduled to be released Monday, August 13. Labeled simply as “MIDDLE FINGER ACID TERROR from Boysnoize Records and OWLSA," many were scrambling to figure out just who Dog Blood was. Not soon after, both an official Facebook page and Twitter account associated with the act soon appeared. It didn’t take much time for fans to discover that the Facebook page identified the members of the group as Alex Ridah and Sonny Moore; Boys Noize and Skrillex respectively.
