Get Celebrity Hair This New Year's Eve

Whether you have long hair, short hair, or even curly hair, this works amazingly well on many different hair lengths and textures. The key to achieving this look is our secret weapon...Tresseme hair spray and lots (and lots!) of bobby pins. If you’re someone with short hair, (we’re talking chin length bobs), this could work for you too! Dirty hair is always best when playing with your lovely tendrils, so the greasier the better! Make sure you have a mirror handy too, so that you can take a look at the back of your hair while styling. Tease like there’s no tomorrow!

FUTURE EXES
Candace Bushnell Single in the City Again

The Carrie Bradshaw fairytale has come to an end. Author, Candace Bushnell, 53, famous for Sex and the City, has filed for divorce from her husband Charles Askegard, 43, after 9 years of marriage. This is probably pretty disappointing news for all the Sex and the City fans who dream of worldwide success and finding love forever with their perfect "Mr. Big" in NYC.

We wonder if Carrie Bradshaw will follow suit in a dramatized 3rd movie installment of Sex and the City? Plot: Carrie files divorce from Big and goes to India to "find herself." In the end, she realizes that love is for suckers, buys 20 pairs of Manolo Blahnik's and drowns her sorrows in a sea of cosmopolitans while listening to Adele's "Rolling in the Deep" on repeat. Ugh, that sounds worse than the 2nd one.

Anyway, Candace is still pretty hot and ridiculously successful, so we're sure she'll be just fine.

BLIND FATE
Blake & Selena in Rumored 'Sex & the City' Prequel?

Could it be? Imagine how Carrie, Miranda, Charlotte, & Samantha were in their high-school/college years?

Mum's the word on a possible reboot of the Sex & the City franchise. Rumors and talks have been going on (for what seems like forever) of a new film, but this time, it will supposedly serve as a flashback piece that documents the early days of our favorite NYC ladies. The alleged plotlines would come from the prequel novels of writer/creator Candace Bushnell: "The Carrie Diaries," and "Summer in the City."

IT'S YOUR BIRTHDAY
XOXO to Kristen Bell!

Happy happy birthday! Who doesn't love Kristen Bell? Honestly?...Alright, maybe the Upper Eastsiders - whom she tends to nark on (anonymously) as resident Gossip Girl blogger - aren't her biggest fans. On the other hand, we at the Almost Famous blog love her character, since we have a lot in common ;)

Aside from her usual gig being the Carrie Bradshaw-esque narrator of the popular CW teen drama, Bell has been a familiar face both on television AND the silver screen. She made a huge impact on us with the cult TV hit Veronica Mars, as well as making us laugh in comedic roles in films such as Forgetting Sarah Marshall and You Again. She even changed it up as a dancer in Burlesque, in addition to a cameo apperance in this year's Scream 4.

High/ Low, High/ Low, It's Off To Shop We Go!

The phenomenon of mixing insanely expensive designer pieces with label-less bargain duds began when Sharon Stone appeared on the red carpet of the 1996 Oscars wearing a Valentino skirt paired with a plain black t-shirt from the Gap. It's been fifteen years (105 in fashion years) since the birth of the High/Low craze, yet it is still going strong. Quickly evolving from a trend to a necessity, High/Low fashion has come to mean that mixing a $3 tank top with a $300 skirt is more than acceptable. In fact, it's highly encouraged. Celebs and commoners alike are balancing their wardrobes with high-end designer pieces and cheap-o trendy clothes and accessories.

TRENDTASTIC
Hope for Shorties

Unfortunately for the short folk, maxi dresses are in. I'm 5'3" (shortay) and I've always wanted to pull off a maxi dress.

When style queen, Carrie Bradshaw, was seen in Sex and the City sporting a maxi dress oh-so-fabulously, there seemed to be hope but then I remembered I don't work out three times a day like she does and have the ittybitty waist with the curves, which makes her look taller than she really is. [not fair] Some shorter women look beautiful in maxi dresses but I look completely awkward and shortened. Is it just me?

INDUSTRY NEWS
Kim Cattrall Unsure About More 'Sex'

Did the 'suckiness' of the second film attribute to the extinction of a possible third?

Kim Cattrall, 54, might think so. The seemingly ageless star has effectively portrayed the role of sexbomb Samantha Jones for almost 13 years now.

She explains to PopEater, "I don't know if it will happen. I really, really have no idea..I love playing Samantha Jones. I would love playing Samantha Jones again, but I don't know if I will."

Reports describe the film series more than likey to be dead after the overwhelmingly negative reviews for Sex & the City 2, despite its success at the box office. Sheesh, couldn't the Jurassic Park people take the same hint?
