Calling all NYC party VIPS! Earlier this month, Carolina Herrera launched a modeling campaign for her latest fragrance, 212 VIP. Hererra and a team of judges narrowed down the pool of contestants to 8 worthy VIPS. Now, viewers vote who'm they like best as the VIP fragrance spokesmodel.
On the very same night of his webisode, Woodhouse will also be hosting a haute viewing red-carpet affair at TOY from 6 p.m. - 12 a.m. followed by an after-party at Double Seven from 12 a.m. - 4 a.m with Sam Ronson on the ones and twos and her sister Charlotte also in attendance.
Guests were greeted with a red carpet photo opp followed by passed hors d'oeuvres and cocktails (of course) featuring the fizzy new vodka including Bubbly Flower with Elderflower liqueur, chilled Absolut Tune served in a flute with a lemon twist and the Naughty Bellini that boasted Absolut Peach and peach puree topped with Absolut Tune. The Tres Chic offered up a straight-up, no nonsense taste of Tune with Absolut original vodka, lemon juice, simple syrup and fresh mint while the Blushing Bombshell served up Tune with a twist with Absolut Citron, campari, lemon juice and fresh grapefruit.
It’s no secret that we all covet sun-kissed skin. Bronzed beauty is a goal we’re all working toward and one that’s not always easy to achieve. We’re either landlocked or way too busy to hit the coast, (not to mention we try to limit harmful UVs) so we’re forced to attempt a golden glow sans the rays. Sure, pile on the bronzer, slap on some self-tanner, even highlight your luscious locks—but careful, it’s all too easy to end up looking like a pumpkin. Here’s our go-to guide on bronzing tips and the best products of the season.
At first blush, femininity and delicacy were the apparent objectives of Charlotte Ronson Spring/Summer 2012 season. Then we saw the chokers with belt buckles – which we love! There is no better way to add some toughness to your crocheted crop top than with leather and buckles! Inspired by two very influential eras in fashion, Ronson implements Victorian detailing alongside seventies bohemianism and deems the collection “a little fancier, dressier...a little more lady.” We definitely agree the collection is made for the girlie at heart. Ronson uses patchwork denim and chambray and a patchwork-inspired print in mid-length and maxi dresses. The breezy mini dresses and crop tops of the collection look youthful in multiple floral prints, ombre, and crochet.
LES Hotel Chantelle, vodka infused cupcakes, endless refills of HobNob Wine, and Charlotte Ronson; these are a few of our favorite things! And luckily for us, we got to experience all of them Monday night at the Charlotte Ronson Sephora Beauty Party!
Celebrating CR's collaboration with Sephora for her new Charlotte Ronson beauty collection, fashionistas from all over gathered on the rooftop of Hotel Chantelle for an amazing dinner followed by an even more amazing after party featuring the musical stylings of DJ Harley Viera-Newton. Some of the fabulous party goers included: Charlotte Ronson (duh), Charlotte's mom Anne Dexter-Jones, the social climbing wunderkind Genevieve Jones, Nylon's Accessories Director Dani Stahl, DJ Mia Moretti, filmmaker Sarah Sophie Flicker, singer/ model Sky Ferreira, Venezuelan social butterfly Fabiola Beracasa, actress/ DJ Becka Diamond, and singer/ songwriter Shooter Jennings; way too many fabulous people to name them all! Charlotte's sister Samantha Ronson and her long-time pal Nicole Richie were unable to make the event due to travel complications that ensued from Hurrican Irene.
Charlotte Ronson, one of our favorite designers of all time, has announced that she will be launching her own line of beauty products this Fall sold exclusively at Sephora! This is only, like, the best news ever!
Styleist has informed us that CR's collection will range from $14- $28 and include beauty products such as eyeshadow palettes, lip glosses, blushes, makeup bags and hair products; each piece in honor of the designer's close friends and family. Aw, how sweet!
Channel your inner 70's style goddess with this season’s effortless trend: the ankle grazing maxi skirt. The trend has been a long time coming, as it has been kicking around since last fall when Charlotte Ronson and Marc Jacobs featured them on their runways. However, the maxi has been given another shot this season, as designers breathe new life to the minimalist garment in easy summer fabrics like flowy chiffon an breezy silk.
To work this trend into your own closet, try out a more demure, feminine look by opting for a maxi skirt in a soft pastel or off-white and in a fabric like jersey. Add a soft printed tank for muggy summer days and complete the look with a straw hat fedora.
