The infamous Sunset Saturdays at Dream Downtown's pool will now be taking place at PH-D Rooftop Lounge. The lounge is located on the 12th floor of the Dream Downtown and has amazing views of the city. The Lounge has hosted numerous celebs such as Solange Knowles, Christina Ricci, and Tyson Beckford and is brought to you from the creators of Tao, Marquee, Lavo, and Avenue. Signature cocktails are pricey, but equally delicious. Similar to The Standard, this venue is selective at the door (read: dress to impressss), but once you weave your way in, it is worth the wait. Don't miss these wild evenings every Saturday from 5:30-10pm. For reservations, e-mail SunsetSats@gmail.com.
Those who become nauseated at the thought of another “Lil’” rapper poisoning the airwaves with overproduced tracks that only appeal to musically ignorant pre-teens can breath a sigh of relief. Rhymesayers Entertainment’s latest installment of the FELT collaboration, FELT 3: A Tribute to Rosie Perez, will be hitting underground hip-hop distributors on November 17. As the title suggests, this is the third record by the legendary MC duo of Slug (of Atmosphere) and Murs (of Living Legends). Keeping with the pre-determined idea of having a guest producer creating the music on the album, the two vocalists have recruited Aesop Rock (of Definitive Jux) for the daunting task. The previous albums, A Tribute to Christina Ricci and A Tribute to Lisa Bonet, saw production by The Grouch (of Living Legends) and Ant (of Atmosphere), respectively.
In May of 2007, Christina Ricci announced to Tatler magazine, "I just want to be married, or just engaged…"Basically, I just want a ring. And the tax break." Less than two years later, she seems to be getting her wish.
Ricci, who appears in the upcoming romance film New York, I Love You, is set to marry native New Yorker Owen Benjamin. The 6’6 actor/comedian stars alongside 5’1 Ricci in this year’s All’s Faire in Love. The couple met on the set and has only been dating publicly since this past October.
While Ricci, 29, has been acting in blockbuster films since the age of ten, Benjamin is just getting his feet wet. He had a bit part in “I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry,” which led to a larger role in “House Bunny.”
At this point, no wedding plans have been made.
