ROCK OUT
Weekend Pick: Chevelle at House of Blues

Rock band Chevelle will be hitting the stage Thursday, April 17th at House of Blues Chicago. Past musicians such as The Who, Al Green, and Pearl Jam have graced the same stage years ago. This standing room venue makes it easy to see your favorite artist for an affordable price, and at close proximity.

Chevelle has been promoting their new album with their most recent popular single, “Take Out the Gunman.” Due to their popularity the April 17th show will probably sell out, but lucky for you Chevelle will also be playing another show Friday, April 18th at House of Blues Chicago.

All Access Pass: Showtek @ Pacha NYC, 3/21

Showtek came with the full intention to rock the house this past Friday at Pacha, and they certainly delivered. But what else would you expect from the brotherly Dutch duo? Known for their hard hitting style of music and bass heavy performances, Showtek has really built a name for themselves as one of the best electronic duos out right now. With banger after banger being released by them in recent time, it has been hard for any DJ to play a set without at least playing one Showtek track.

NIGHT STALKER
Brew and View at The Vic

Dinner and a movie is the quintessential date. Its a time honored tradition as old as the movie theater itself, and for good reason. It doesn't require much thought. It also protects against the possibility of you and your date ending up with nothing to do, which leads to boredom, which leads to you two realizing you don't have much to talk about, which leads to your date leaving. That is why dinner and a movie is typically a first date. People on first dates can rarely think of anything to talk about. That's whats so nice about the movie, it eats up a great deal of time and later you can say, “So what did you think of the movie?”
