From a simple folk inspired group to the danceable indie rock band they are now, Jackpot, Tiger never shied away from the pop label. Their music is now saturated with catchy hooks, infectious melodies and is known to start a sing along, dance party.
The Brooklyn based foursome released their anticiapted first single, "Caught In Love," off their sophomore, self-titled record due to be released this summer. The track, proudly dubbed as "bubblegum pop" has all the ingredients of a pop hit-- a seriously catchy chrous, a clap along beat, and it tells the story of falling in love.
We doubt you need any more reason to see The Temptations this Thursday night at The Wilbur Theatre in Boston because, you know, it's The Temptations, but if you think you do, here's a few. 'Ain't Too Proud To Beg,' 'Papa Was A Rolling Stone,' 'My Girl,' and the list goes on, and on, and on. For more than fifty years, The Temptations have been a major influence on popular music around the world, having basically guided the entire Motown era to success. The Temptations Walk, easily one of the flashiest and classiest moves in history, has stood the test of time just like the group has, and if you don't already know it, Thursday night is the perfect time. Tickets range between $35 and $59, which is pretty much a steal all things considered. We 'Ain't Too Proud To Beg' either, but we're pretty sure we don't have to because this show is just too tempting.
When: Thursday, April 10th, 7:30pm
Where: The Wilbur Theatre, 246 Tremont St., Boston, MA
Jason Derulo mixes his classic sound and style with something different on his latest album, Talk Dirty, with a track list loaded with club bangers and racy lyrics. The album, which is a reissue of Derulo’s third project, Tattoos, is scheduled to be released in the US as a full-length album for the first time on April 15th. It has been supported in the US by chart topping hits, “Talk Dirty,” “Marry Me,” and “The Other Side”; internationally the LP has also garnered success with singles, “Trumpets” and “Stupid Love.” On Talk Dirty, Derulo collaborates with producers Timbaland and The Cataracs to create a flirtatious, kinetic, “party and play” album which initially finds Derulo giving into his inner Don Juan rather than his inner lover with new tracks, “Zipper,” “Wiggle” feat. Snoop Dogg, “Bubblegum” feat. Tyga and “Kama Sutra” feat. Kid Ink and “Fire” feat. Pitbull.
Pop divas Icona Pop are back with another single, and this time they've gone and revamped a timeless classic. With a little help from Ty Dolla $ign and his steady bars, Icona Pop have stripped down and thugged out Lesley Gore's 1963 hit, 'It's My Party,' turning the pop anthem into a brand new hit. This isn't the first time the duo has taken on remixing Lesley Gore, this version being a remix of the remix they originally did with Zebra Katz simply titled 'My Party.' All things considered though, this new version of 'It's My Party' is jam packed with all the bad-attitude beats and harmonizing vocals you'd expect from an Icona Pop track.

The buzz is mounting around Betty, who was labeled one of TIME Magazine’s 14 Musical Acts to Watch in 2014. You can see her at Underground Arts for only $10, so check her out before she inevitably takes off like a rocket ship.
