The Eight-Year Anniversary event kick starts with Grammy-nominated, Austrailian DJ Dirty South on Saturday, December 7th. As a Pacha favorite, he will bring his big-room style House sounds to get the crowd going in high gear.
18 year old DJ/producer Danny Avila performed Thursday night, September 19, at Pacha Night Club in NYC. Pacha, originally an Ibiza super-club, recently opened its second set of doors in Manhattan’s Hell’s Kitchen. Avila, also of Spanish decent, hopped over from Europe for a quick stint at the club. If not for the giant “I love NYC” sign hanging above the main floor, one might have easily believed themselves to be 4000 miles away in Ibiza watching the phenomenal performance in Pacha’s hometown.

In a little over 12 months, Danny Avila has established himself as one of the biggest contenders in dance music’s prolific pool of next generation talent. The 18-year-old has releases on Big Beat and Interscope and can now add Ministry Of Sound to that list. Just released on April 7th, Ministry Of Sound Presents: Danny Avila Live, a 24-track compilation that features the biggest hits currently blaring through Avila’s sets.
“For me, (this mix) is really, really special,” said Avila, currently on tour in the States. “Ministry of Sound is one of the biggest brands in dance music history and I’ve always loved it. Not only because of the label, but also the club and all the people involved with it. It’s such an honor for me that Ministry asked me to do this compilation.”
At just 17-years-old, Danny Avila is pretty much killing the game. His journey began just five years ago when he was making his way into the clubs in his native Spain and it was after watching the power and passion of artists like David Guetta and Afrojack was when Avila knew what he wanted to do.
The years fly by and it's 2012 which proved to be a very promising year for Danny Avila. He earned not one, but three residencies in Ibizia playing 15 shows alongside Tiesto at the famed Pacha Ibiza. The young buck also released his debut single 'Breaking Your Fall' on Big Beat Records in October and became the youngest ever talent to broadcast his 'Ready To Jump' show in a prime time slot on SiriusXM radio.
Inching their way closer and closer to our loyal dance music hearts is the music festival. Seeing them live is the ultimate experience, however, there's a new fest in town earning a lot of chatter in the digital music world. On February 12th-14th, Mixify.com will be hosting its largest event to date when RISE Digital Music Festival hits the digital stage.
Mixify is bringing in top headliners for the festival which include high-energy bass commanders Knife Party, Dutch house sensation R3HAB and rising trance producers, Tritonal. Also featured is an ultra-heavy roster of rising stars such as Russian phenom Arty, the internationally acclaimed Deniz Koyu, versatile fan favorite Carnage, Swedish talent Adrian Lux, and Billboard’s ‘One To Watch’ Danny Avila. They will be performing alongside Rob Garza of futuristic electronica group Thievery Corporation, BBC Radio 1’s own DJ Nihal, and dance-pop producers The Cataracs.
With the recent explosion of electronic dance music in 2011, it's only proper that "our" generation be called "the beat generation" or better...Generation Wild. Why not, right? And with that in mind, prepare yourself because the Generation Wild Tour 2013 is coming our way. Kicking off January 31st, four extremely talented young DJs and producers will come together to bring music to the masses. Deniz Koyu, Danny Avila, dBerrie and Mikael Weermets will be joining forces as they bring their influences from all over the world together as one.
It's no doubt that electronic music has caught the attention of the masses. Since the recent explosion of the genre in 2011, it seems that just about everyone has embraced it. Whether its 'deep house' to 'tropical trap rap' to 'moombahton' the genres continue to expand with a now more than ever diverse roster of seriously mind bending choices. We rounded up a mix of twelve songs that are worthy of so much play time it's ri-dic-u-lous.
