It’s Monday and the day before Valentine’s Day. The pressure is on and the drudgery of the work week has begun. It’s time to break out the coffee, get some work done, and then dart around in search of last minute sentiments if you have to. It’s a stressful day and we all need something for the nerves. Instead of the usual time killers or Youtube videos, have a look at some of Seth Casteel’s animal photography.
The notoriously talented photographer dabbles in the adorable and serene, but his specialty seems to be dogs at their most ridiculous. Lately, he’s been able to capture some pretty fantastic candid shots we usually don’t usually see. Dogs love fetch. Half the reason we play fetch with dogs is because their excitement is contagious. It’s all over their faces and body language. So what happens when we pitch a ball into a nice pool? Casteel has captured right in the middle of retrieving a ball from a pool. These underwater dogs are everything you could want and more. They’re ferocious, ridiculous, and having a pretty awesome time.

The pageant, ignorant human, is the brainchild of Christopher R. Weingarten, who began a tumblr stream of hipsterized doggies in 2010. He began with photos of my friends Terrence and Lola, and eventually began creating portraits of other members of the doggie Hipster community.
Mandalay Bay Hotel has made some changes that have dog owners pretty pleased. THEHotel has not only begun allowing dogs in their hotels, but has created a hotel experience for man’s best friend that could only be possible in Las Vegas.
Dogs receive a special welcome letter, treats, and special “relief bags” upon first entering the hotel. Their special rooms are equipped with eco-savvy food bowls and water. Meals are a menu or tasty organic delights even dog owners would be jealous of. At $9-$17 a pop, the meals are quite a bit more expensive than what you’ll find at the PetCo, but if Paris Hilton’s shaky little tea cup dogs can get a life time of caviar on golden spoons, your loyal companion deserves at least a few days of non-canned delights.
So it may be that you have always wanted a dog but don't have the time or inclination to take care of one. If that's the case, don't count yourself completely out of the pet-love game yet.
