Ever since stilettos became a wardrobe staple (thanks to Sex and the City) heels have reached painfully new heights. For some of us, especially those of us who are vertically challenged, it's hard to feel sexy without throwing on a pair of sky-high heels to elevate our entire appearance. At work, heels evoke a sense of style and authority and help women meet the expectation to always look polished while on the go. It's hard to resist the funky and affordable styles of Steve Madden, Vince Camuto, Sam Edelman and the like with their studded, spiked, strapped and printed platform heels.
While flip flops are the ultimate summer staple, sometimes they just don’t cut it when you’re looking for the perfect summer footwear for your perfect summer wardrobe. You want to stay comfortable of course, whether you’re jet setting to exotic getaways, enjoying sunny summer weekends, or hoofing the city avenues of your daily grind. Sky-high wedges are just the ticket for party-filled nights, but keep them stowed away until after hours and enjoy these sweet flat sandals for day!

Cara: 21 years old
We spotted Cara having lunch at Bryant Park and absolutely adored her outfit! Cara is wearing a vintage cardigan paired with a American Apparel oversized tank. Her floral leggings are Betsey Johnson, and her shoes are Dolce Vita. She accessorizes this look with a Miu Miu hangbag, vintage ring, and awesome A-morir sunglasses! We must say her diamond encrusted sunglasses definately make this outfit!

So you survived Thanksgiving, another family Christmas, and on New Year's Eve you even got a kiss (either from your date or from a dashing stranger). But there's one final hurdle to jump this winter, one small bump in the road until smooth sailing into spring.
With the exception of April 15th, it may be the most dreaded day of the year. But love it or hate it, you should look your best, as you should every night. Head to the Arcadia Boutique on 2nd Street to find the ensemble that compliments your love life.
Shoes + Shoes + Shoes + Bags looks more like a store that you'd expect to purchase marijuana in than high-end shoes. There are about thirty different kinds of rugs on the floor, three hammock swings that hang from its ceiling, and a collection of potted plants. I'd expect this type of setting from a cigar shop, a vintage record store, even a taxidermy supply store, but not a shoe boutique. While there was no music playing in the background, I think something by The Grateful Dead would have been appropriate.

Something magical happens when you enter Violet Willow, a boutique located in the charming neighborhood of Atwater Village. You immediately want to take off your coat and stay awhile.
It could be the store's décor, with its violet-colored walls, birch branches and antique, vintage dressers. Or maybe it's the endless supply of mini chocolates and the smell of Asian Lychee Blossom candles. Personally, I think it's the sisters who own the boutique.
