Eoto has proved itself to be one of the most progressive and action packed crossover bands in the industry. With unbelievable musicianship and years and experience under their belt, they navigate the world of electronic music through a lens untouched by those before them. What you see is what you get in their 100% improvised mosaic of all things electronic.
MF: What are your impressions of North Coast and Chicago as whole? How does the Chicago crowd compare to others you have played for?
EOTO: This is was first time doing NCMF and Chicago is always one of our best, if not our best when we tour through in terms of numbers and everything else. We’ve played mostly at the portage and that place goes off so hard. And we tried to play another place, but it went really badly. I don’t even want to say where it was (laughs). It was some kind of thing when they cancelled us a week before and they moved us too the Bottom Lounge because of pre sales and a bunch of people got stuck outside. And that was nuts, so we’ve been on a mission to get on the right side of things in chicago
EDM lovers are in for a real treat for the next few months. A plethora of electro fests are lined up and ready for the taking. While we wait for dates and lineups to be announced for post-June festivals, peep these April-June events that are confirmed, with tickets on sale now!
who: Tiësto, Röyksopp, STS9, 12th Planet, araabMUZIK, Awolnation, Calvin Harris, Cosmic Gate, CSS, Datsik, Dillon Francis, Mt Eden, Nero, Steve Aoki
what: An intensely euphoric weekend of dubstep, electropop, and happy hardcore put on by Insomniac Events
It’s coming. July 4th weekend. Three days off of work, maybe four, if you play your cards right. Your friends are preparing to throw dice at the Borgata, BBQ at the Hamptons’ hideaway, swim at Rehab’s cloudy pool, but you, you’re packing an RV and heading to a lesser known destination: Rothbury, Michigan, home of the Sherwood Forest.
This is not your dad’s dream of a family trip cross country in an RV. This is not a hunt for Robin Hood. This is a journey to Electric Forest: The Return of Rothbury, where you will embrace good vibes and independence by wandering through an LED lit forest, stumbling on music stages, arts booths, or any other magical wonders: a life-size version of Mousetrap, glow-in-the-dark Disc Golf, horses, or even group yoga.
