Catching some serious hype as 2013 wrapped up, 23-year-old rapper Que is quickly becoming the hottest thing in Atlanta since the weather, with the help of his club megasmash “OG Bobby Johnson”.
Although it was released several months beforehand, the hit went big after Lebron James posted an Instagram video declaring it his Gameday Theme song, and shortly after, Jay Z gave it some extra push when he rapped it during an after party in Charlotte NC. Since then, the song has been remixed dozens of times, and is played anywhere you can find a DJ.
It’s no surprise that The Park in Chelsea is dubbed as one of Manhattan's trendiest restaurants. Helmed by Eric Goode and partner Sean MacPherson, this West Village eatery is a restaurant and night club hybrid — it is a culmination of five different worlds: the garden, the penthouse, the red room, the atrium and the main room.
Each area has its own distinct charm and character — the garden is complete with Japanese maple trees and vines of Wisteria; the penthouse is capped by a glass ceiling and displays a gorgeous view of the High Line (perfect for sunset-watching too); the red room impersonates an old Asian speakeasy with wicker scoop-backed chairs and banquettes covered in raw silk; the atrium is a glass-enclosed area backed by a glazed brick fireplace and the main room is the typical dining room furnished with a 900-year-old red wood root bench and a 30-foot-tall cluster of bamboo.

Sitting on the East River with a gorgeous view of the Manhattan skyline, eating plates upon plates of some of Brooklyn’s best tamales, pasta, pizza, curry, sandwiches, and ice cream, is exactly where we always want to be. And thankfully, TASTE Williamsburg Greenpoint provided that experience during its fourth annual festival this year.
Adjacent from Sunday’s Williamsburg Flea, in East River State Park, local vendors lined up tents along the perimeter of the park, preparing small plates best representing their restaurant’s cuisine. In the center, local wineries, breweries, and bars created cocktails and offered samples of their beverages. In exchange for a ticket, ($25/ 4 tastes & 2 drinks), each unique taste was yours. Ticket sales benefitted Northside Town Hall, a community and cultural center to be located in a historic firehouse.

Rihanna sings about how whips and chains excite her, Ana Steele finds herself excitingly intrigued by her darker desires, and well Christian Grey, we know all about his secret erotic fantasies. S&M hasn’t always shown its gag-ball filled mouth to mainstream society through pop culture but with the success of E. L. James’ “mommy porn” trilogy, Fifty Shades of Grey, the taboo subject has left sex shops and entered our headphones, libraries, and our bedrooms.
If you’ve been left wondering what the big fuss about Mr. Grey’s sexual habits are after reading the trilogy or are just plain curious as to what S&M is outside a paperback novel, look no further than Union Square. On Monday June 16th at their 50 Shades of Seduction event. This 21+ event will give you your own personal glimpse into the real life bedroom of Mr. Grey through an instructional 45-minute S&M class taught by “sexpert” Mistress Gia while you sip a complimentary cocktail inspired by the addictive trilogy, the Grey-tini.
