If you’re a vintage junkie and need a weekly dose of thrifty finds, then make your way to Eye Candy, by Ron Caldwell. Previously located on Lafayette St, Eye Candy has moved to 225 West 23rd street (between 7th and 8th ave). This vintage eutopia offers a wide variety of woman's accessories and clothing, and all vintage finds are scoped out by Mr. Caldwell’s trained eye. Eye Candy has been described as a “feast for the eyes” and please believe it, believe it please, it lives up to its name.
The Britsh twin brothers, Mark and Allister Blackham, better known as The EC Twins, are bringing their infectious energy to the weekly electronic music series, Electric Beach at Santos Party House.
The duo made a name for themselves at the mere age of 16 in Edinburgh Scotland. It was there they fell into the world of house music and ultimately went on to run the city's most successful nightclub, Eye Candy. The name of the club stuck and simply earned them the nickname "EC Twins." Quickly rising as producers, they have been signed to Paul Oakenfold's Perfecto Records, gained acclaim for their remix work, and have graced the decks of major nightclubs such as Marquee in Las Vegas, Mansion in Miami and have played at mega festivals like Coachella and Tomorrowland.
I'm a movie girl. Born and bred. Always have been. Always will be. I see the big features at the Loews in Times Square. I see the small indies at that little theater on Third Avenue in the 50s. My Time Warner bill is mostly On Demand new releases should I miss them in the theater and my DVR is full of movies aired on TBS, FX or Oxygen. I desperately love movies.
