The authority on electronic music journalism, DJ Mag, has repeatedly thrown some of the wildest pool parties in Miami Music Week’s history. This year, the publication will relocate to The Surfcomber with a top-drawer talent bill ranging from Amine Edge & Dance’s underground grooves to W&W’s hard-hitting basslines. And don’t forget the special surprise guest that’s embargoed until the day of the event! Tickets are available here.
The Unicorn Slayer himself, Markus Schulz, took it upon his Facebook page to announce his upcoming North American 'Scream 2' tour. In lieu of his 'Scream 2' album set to be released on February 21st, his upcoming tour includes 19 major stops all around the U.S. and Canada with more dates to be announced. He will be performing as New World Punx with fellow member, Ferry Corsten for his Montreal show at the Bal en Blanc. You can purchase tickets to any of his shows here.
Typically, it'd be safe to assume that going out on a Thursday night will be a cool, calm, and collected endeavor. A Thursday night at Cielo with The Crystal Method however, is more than someone would expect to get out of the night before the weekend. Tucked away in New York City's Meat-packing District, a heavily trafficked nightlife hot spot, Cielo's dark exterior gives away nothing about the spectacular space that awaits its guests inside. Once the velvet ropes have parred and coat check has been cleared, a heavy black drape is pulled open to reveal a brilliantly lit room occupied by both the grown and sexy and young and wild alike.
The first volume of 'Rielism,' released in 2011, was just the pre-flight procedure--boarding passes, over head compartments, safety precautions and all, in preparation for the epic, high flying journey that is 'Rielism 2.' Released December 16th via Black Hole Recordings, this two disc mix compilation is propelled upward and outward by the atmospheric pressure that Sied van Riel's powerfully progressive trance is best known for.
As an electronic music artist, it is becoming increasingly popular to not only own your own record label, but to also have a weekly radio show. Top producers from the likes of Hardwell, Tiësto and Ferry Corsten maintain their own radio shows, which allows them greater autonomy in hand selecting tracks to share with their fans. The latter, who launched Corsten's Countdown in 2007, is an interactive chart show that features a pool of the best and most recent dance tracks. Listeners can then vote for their favorite track after each show, and the top three tracks with the most votes will be replayed on the following week's Corsten's Countdown. If a track is voted #1 within the top three, three times in a row, it will become the "Corsten's Countdown Hattrick."
With over 20 years under his belt in the dance music scene, German superstar DJ/Producer, Paul Van Dyk, is releasing his VONYC Sessions 2013 on Friday, December 13 via his VANDIT label.
VONYC Sessions has been serving as PvD's very own weekly radio show for over 6 years already, and now he's coming out with an album comprised of 2 CDs with only the very best of tracks that are leading the Trance strain of pulsing electronic dance music today. This "the-year-that-was" mix features industry leading artists who have had an incredible past year like the duo W&W, Alex M.O.R.P.H., Ferry Corsten, and Giuseppe Ottaviani, just to name a few. Tracks by Paul Van Dyk, himself, are also featured in this 2 disc compilation, so make sure to grab your very own copy of this elite mix.
Ferry Corsten has a hit on his hands, and he needs your help to remain champion of 'Battle Of The Beats.' After beating out the competition, Corsten's single 'Many Ways,' featuring Jenny Wahlstrom needs your vote to stay on top. Check out the single here and vote for "Many Ways." Voting is open now and closes December 6th.
We first saw New World Punx opening for Armin van Buuren at their debut arena show: A State Of Trance 600 at Madison Square Garden (listen here). Composed of trance titans Ferry Corsten and Markus Schulz, the duo began collaborating after playing some back-to-back sets at previous shows. When we heard they were on tour, this time as headliners, we leapt at the chance to witness their wizardry once again, this time at the historic (and, unfortunately, soon-to-be-closing) Roseland Ballroom. The show took place this past Saturday, November 23, and featured an incredible four hour set of lush sonic textures, soaring angelic vocals, and hard throbbing beats delivered straight to our eardrums from the power pair.
Trance maven, Ferry Corsten, is back at it again and is soon releasing his brand new album titled, 'Once Upon A Night Vol. 4' through Premier Recordings.
On November 28th, Trance lovers worldwide can grab his latest album which is a continuation of his 'Once Upon A Night' series. His journey is now developing to encompass the ever-growing diversity in dance music, which this seasoned veteran is turning into his own sound.
With melodic vocals that stays true to his roots, Corsten delivers to his loyal fans with his skilled assurance while delving deeper onto trancier grounds, all in one album.
The album will be composed of two discs with 27 tracks in total, so let the Corsten marathon reign supreme once it is released.

With the teaser already reaching 26,000 plays on Soundcloud, "Many Ways" the new banger by veteran DJ Ferry Corsten, is already making a splash in the EDM world.
With its pop vocals from the lovely Jenny Wahlström, "Many Ways" already feels like every EDM festival's anthem. The type of track every DJ loves to play to get the crowd going wild!
The build-up incoporates great vocals and drum and bass all leading up to an explosive drop (I can see the confetti and fireworks now!) But this is no surprise since Ferry Corsten has been mastering his technique since I was in diapers (90's baby!) For 2 decades now Corsten has produced nothing but electronic dance hits and is showing no signs of slowing down, especially after this track! Whether you call it techno or EDM it is no surpise that the scene has changed dramatically in the past 2 decades, but its DJs like Ferry who can effortlessly keep up with the times who keep us out of our seats and dancing till sunrise!
