The legendary CMJ Music Marathon is set to take over New York City for five non-stop days from October 16-20th. In addition to concerts, attendees also can take part in panels, seminars, Q&As, parties, meet and greets and more.
Every year music writers, industry folk, upcoming bands and music super-fans flock to over 80 venues in the city to check out the latest, greatest and newest in the music scene. The longest running marathon of its kind also boasts more popular acts, this year being the likes of Ghostface Killah and the Mountain Goats.
This is the most important discovery platform for any new artist, and CMJ lives up to that fact. Some acts that got their start playing this very same festival are Lady Gaga, Mumford & Sons, Arcade Fire and Jason Mraz…maybe you’ve heard of them?
The Fall 2012 phase of Bounce Music Festival is about to get in gear to rock a city near you. Hosting global superstar DJs, this year's festival welcomes headliners Alesso, Martin Solveig, Hardwell, Dada Life, Rusko, and Borgore.

A second date on Oct. 26 will feature French producer Martin Solveig, Dutch master Hardwell, Deniz Koyu and Tim Mason at the Mesa Amphitheater in Mesa, Arizona. On Wednesday October 31st, Dada Life will be giving champagne showers at Pic-A-Chic Farms along with Borgore. The UK dubstep leader Rusko will drop the bass at the Limelight in Nashville, Tennessee as the last date of the tour on Nov. 19th.
There are very few live electronic acts that actually prosper blatant innovation and progression within their sound, style, and ability. EOTO, the 100% improvized creation of Jason Hann and Michael Travis of The String Chees Incident, has no doubt reached this elevated level of musicianship. Everytime they play for an eager crowd they create something completely original and totally different than their last performance. In an industry struck with the dangers of monotony, EOTO stands strong to deliver bass-throbing, intricate ballads which oppose all previous conceptions of electronic music.
