Not only can Mr. Schue dance, act, and sing, but now he's showing off his directing skills.
This weekend, Glee’s Matthew Morrison performed at the Grammy Museum in Los Angeles and gave fans a nice surprise. The actor reveals that he will be making his directorial debut this season on the FOX hit!
The actor - famous for playing McKinley's hot Spanish teacher - has kept mum about the episode's plot; however, we do know that it will be the eighth episode and will air in November.
Morrison has definitely proven himself to be a star this year. Glee has continued to be a success, he's released his debut album (featuring collaborations with Gwyneth Paltrow, Sting, and Elton John) and is even shooting his new movie What to Expect When You’re Expecting. Now he can add 'director' to that lovely resume of his.
We know we are looking forward to seeing this episode. What about you guys? Think you’ll tune in to see Mr. Schue's magic behind the camera?
I’m one of those people who don’t really get star struck. OK let me rephrase that -at least I don’t jump when I see a reality TV star walking down the street or pull out my blackberry to tweet a picture when I spot a celebrity shopping. But I do feel my throat drying up when I meet a talented designer. Especially one I admire -like Rachel Roy! So when I found out she and Karina Petroni were doing an event at Macy's in Boca Raton, FL to introduce their limited edition footwear capsule collection, I knew I had to be there.
I was fortunate enough to meet her as well as chat with her about the collection, inspiration and her motivation.
Will Shuster and Holly Hollyday will perform together, again!
Non-Gleek people, please translate:
Glee actor Matthew Morrison and Glee-guest-star-Oscar-winning-actress-newly-singer Gwyneth Paltrow will perform a duet with Morrison for his upcoming debut album solo.
In Glee, Paltrow has covered Fleetwood Mac's Landslide, Cee Lo Green's Forget You, and Prince's Kiss (in duet with Morrison). She is now helping the actor/singer with his debut record, performing with him Over the Rainbow.
"I wanted to do a duet with a female. I thought that was a good song to do, and we really did a different arrangement of it," Morrison explained about the version he recorded for his album. "It's a lot of strings, and it's beautiful."
Elton John has accepted to perform with Morrison too.
The Grammy's are barely an award show anymore. The producers of the "award show" have decided to focus on the live performances during the telecast; there was only one presentation of an award in the first hour of the show.
The first performance of the night was a tribute to the Queen of Soul - Aretha Franklin. The performance featured the quintet of Christina Aguilera, Jennifer Hudson, Yolanda Adams, Florence Welch and Martina McBride. The group sang a melody of different songs; each sang well in their tribute to the Queen. After the performance a taped message from the Queen herself (who was noticeably thinner), welcomed viewers to the Grammy's, expressed her thanks to the academy for the recognition,
The Recording Academy announced earlier today that the pair will be teaming up at the 53rd Annual Grammy Awards. They will hit the stage for a special performance during the February 13, ceremony.
Will they sing their hit song What's My name? Nothing has been confirmed yet. The duo might have some surprises in store for us...
We also learnt yesterday that Gwyneth Paltrow and Cee Lo Green will be performing together as well. They join the other artists of the lineup which includes as Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Usher, Justin Bieber and Eminem...
Remember this episode where Gwyneth Paltrow guest starred as a Spanish teacher?
During a lesson, her character asked the students "Lindsay Lohan is totally crazy, right?" and even asked "How many times has Lindsay Lohan been to rehab?"
Well if you don't remember it, Lindsey Lohan does! And it really hurt her feelings... She saw the show when she was in rehab and it made her so furious that she called her mom.
"Lindsay was watching it while in Betty Ford, then she called me and was upset and said, 'Why did she have to do that?' Lindsay is so upset with Gwyneth. We are the first to make fun of ourselves in our family. And Lindsay has even done 'SNL' a few times, but Gwyneth went overboard and it was unnecessary. Lindsay thought she was a friend and it was disappointing. It was really hard for her to watch ... it was hurtful, not funny." Dina Lohan told TMZ
The star of Country Strong has to learn how to be a musical performer for her role in Shana Feste movie. And if her performance was quiet good and believable, she owns it to Beyonce.
"She has so much mastery over what she does. It's not even confidence – it's on a whole other level. It's mind-blowing. I watched her [perform] a lot to see how she did it, and I was like 'S---! I can't do that!' ", Paltrow said to Harper's Baazar U.K
In November, the Seven star was called on to perform live at the CMA Awards. She was completely terrified just thinking about it...
Dina Lohan’s attorney, Stephanie Ovadia, is surely having a successful few years! This time, she is being used to speak out about Dina Lohan’s dissatisfaction for the hit show, Glee.
Tuesday night’s episode had featured guest star Gwyneth Paltrow imitating Lindsay and her many, many trips to rehab. Paltrow played a substitute teacher named Holly Holiday. She was trying to teach her students Spanish and referred to Lindsay Lohan as, “Loca.”
Ovadia states, “Dina Lohan and her three other children are very sadly disappointed with the [Glee] writers, and also disappointed that a huge celebrity such as Gwyneth Paltrow would relay such a message about a contemporary." Ovadia will later speak to Dina Lohan about a legal course of action just yet later this weekend.
Sorry Dina, but someone has to make fun of Lindsay- the whole “rehab bit” is getting quite ridiculous.
Actress Gwyneth Paltrow is making waves on the internet with a new country song she has recorded for her upcoming film Country Strong. The song, also titled "Country Strong," will be hitting the radio airwaves in the upcoming weeks in promotion of the movie due out in December.
Paltrow does have a bit of prior musical experience; her collaboration on the song "Cruisin'" with Huey Lewis for the movie Duets did well on the charts back in 2000. Some of the help on the song could also be attributed to Paltrow's husband Chris Martin, the lead singer of Coldplay, and Country Strong co-star Tim McGraw, who undoubtedly provided their input.
You can check out the song here. The movie is due out December 22.
