Brucie, an Italian restaurant in Brooklyn, will feature a special menu for Valentine's Day inspired by Beyonce and her boo Jay-Z. The Carrol Gardens eatery put together appetizers, pastas, and a main course with punny names and related ingredients.
For example, the starter options include dishes like Blue Ivy (smoked blue potatoes, chiriboga blue, trout roe, and watercress) and Oysters Rocafella. Items on the pasta menu are Jay-Ziti ("Carter" clothbound cheddar, speck, sweet potato, and sage pistu) and Halo (angel hair pasta, truffle, burnt angel food cake breadcrumbs). The last course is composed of meat entrees as per typical Italian style, with options like Breastiny's Child, a veal breast braciole, pickled fig, sopresatta, and goat yogurt or the Drunk in Love with negroni short rib, beef heart salad, and farro gremalata. Don't forget to add some Beyonce-ified sides such as the Diva is a female version of a brusstla (which we're assuming means brussel sprouts).
