We know you don’t want to hear it, but it’s August and summer is winding down. With fall on the horizon it’s time to start thinking about the trendy ways you’ll keep warm.
Qi New York, the contemporary knitwear company that brings us high-quality pieces at an affordable price, has come out with their most luxurious collection to date. The Gallop to the Ranch collection was inspired by the ranches of Colorado. The views and rustic décor of Rocky Mountain dude ranches encouraged an assortment of cashmere sweaters that you’ll never want to take off!
While flip flops are the ultimate summer staple, sometimes they just don’t cut it when you’re looking for the perfect summer footwear for your perfect summer wardrobe. You want to stay comfortable of course, whether you’re jet setting to exotic getaways, enjoying sunny summer weekends, or hoofing the city avenues of your daily grind. Sky-high wedges are just the ticket for party-filled nights, but keep them stowed away until after hours and enjoy these sweet flat sandals for day!

Even though the Canadien retailer Aritzia has been opening stores in the United States, it was just announced that a new store location is coming to New York City. They currently have a temporary location for now, but a permanent store will open in SoHo in May.
Aritizia is a vertically integrated multi-label retailer typically for women ages 18 to 25. There are eight brands that are produced in house, including J Brand and Rag & Bone. They are said to be completely independent from each other yet complement the other brands as well. The brands are not private label. They haven’t been sold to other stores yet, but plans are made for being wholesale eventually.
Regine Basha went from selling the costume jewelry and hats that she purchased in New York City at the French Quarter Market in New Orleans (where she attended Tulane University), to selling her very own photo-luminescent handbags to high-end boutiques like Intermix, Henri Bendel, and Fred Segal. Her brand, 2enlight10 by Regine Basha, was created "to give women and girls the opportunity to feel like stars," the designer says. "Besides allowing them to ‘shine,' wearing one of my creations will make sure that they stand out and feel special."
Price Range: Medium to High
What do Angelina Jolie, Drew Barrymore, Roselyn Sanchez and Julia-Louis Dreyfus have in common? They have all been photographed carrying Julie K's stylish, yet practical handbags. After my meeting with Julie and her beautiful handbags, I too, became a fan.
Not only are her bags tres fashionable, but they are also a third of the price of designer bags made with similar leather and hardware. In fact as I bounced around her studio admiring her work, I found myself wondering why so many of us women will spend a thousand plus dollars on a "designer" handbag. Does the LV or Prada label make the bag better? Not always. I knew this, but I didn't really know this until I spent an afternoon with Julie K in her Sherman Oaks studio.
