Best Eats: The luxury The Cosmopolitan exudes is like no other hotel on the Strip and dining at China Poblano changes the scene. You’ll walk into a casual dining experience, a combination of Chinese and Mexican cuisine! Where else can you get dim sum and tacos in the same place? Try the “Carnitas” tacos, a soft taco encasing braised baby pig, crunchy pork rinds and spicy salsa verde; taste and savour “When Pigs Fly”, delicate, soft steamed buns filled with a sweet, Chinese BBQ pork stuffing.
The recession is still humming along but apparently that doesn't prevent Las Vegas' need to delight and wow us with new designs and ideas especially in the culinary world. Celebrity chefs are coming by the car load and most have recently landed on the third floor of the dazzling newly appointed Cosmopolitan Hotel. With one floor dedicated to a diverse assortment of culinary traditions and a compelling roster of high-profile chefs each bringing his own signature dishes and experience to The Cosmopolitan Hotel, the third floor promises to be the place to enjoy a blow-out meal.
Bon Appétit is hosting the 3rd annual Supper Club and Café on September 21-25. The food will be spectacular, but remember it’s lunch-only and has outdoor seating. No reservations are required at the event taking place 11am-3pm daily. The venue is returning again to its pop-up location in midtown at 101 West 57th Street (at 6th Ave).
The all-star chef lineup has been officially announced including such celebrity status chefs as, Mario Batali, Emeril Lagasse, José Andrés, Rick Bayless, and Cat Cora.
Some information on the dishes being served was released, but Bon Appétit is keeping hush on the full menu. Highlights form the menu include, Jose's JLT with Jamon Serrano and Manchego by Jose Andrés, Shrimp Etouffee by Emeril, and Finocchi e Tarocchi by Mario Batali.
