Jimmy Choo Jasmine Clutch, $1,695
The mixture of white and coral on this python skin clutch gives it a simple, classic look. We love the use of silver hardware against the warm color to give it more of an edgy appeal! If you have the money to splurge on something this fantastic, and are in need of a chic day clutch, we say hail to the Choo!
Proenza Schouler PS1 Pochette Leather Clutch, $895
When going for simplistic, minimalist trends, the ‘less is more’ idiom is always something to keep in mind. However, when it comes accessories this summer, we’re stacking them up! We’ve picked out some of our favorite pieces to pile on this season where we've taken Rachel Zoe's advice on costume jewelry and are going for the ‘more is more’ approach instead! Take a look at all the summer bangles, rings and necklaces we are lusting over and layer on the fun!
Kate Spade Idiom Bangle, $32
Graphic prints and patterns are always a great way to add some spunk to your style. They have been showing up on a multitude of frocks, from skater/snowboarder T’s, to denim, to chic dresses, and our current favorite, accessories. We are loving the look of the funky, graphic totes for summer and their ability to bring an outfit to life. With the bold statement that a bright, graphic bag makes, an otherwise plain outfit can really gain some great character. Mix them with other prints and patterns for a mad fad look, or go the simplistic route with black or white from head-to-toe, and they'll make a real pop on your ‘blank canvas’ ensemble.
Geometry isn’t just for high school students anymore. Designers are showing spherical shapes, structured lines, and sharp angles in all aspects of fashion and interior decoration.
And we’re not just talking patterns. We uncovered 10 shapely pieces that you simply must check out. We promise you’ll love them—even math wasn’t really your thing.
Small Emile Tote Alexander Wang
On that morning when you're watching reruns of The Most Blinged Out My Super Sweet 16 and lamenting the loss of your million dollar upbringing (we know, we've been there too!), just remember that you've got a fat check coming your way!
In the midst of filing all of your taxes, maybe you forgot the light at the end of the tunnel. Your tax returns are set from the heavens, by stork and arrive at your doorstep just in time for super shopper deals! But where to spend the sweet bundles of cash coming your way?
While some of us might invest in a few household necessities, make a payment on a car, plan a sunny vacation or even join a new gym and commit to a get fit regime – we know just know to ‘invest’ our hard earned cash – ‘cause we plan to go shopping!
As if we needed a special event to justify an evening of SoHo’s best shopping—Shop the Night Away and Daily Candy Deals are hosting a totally legit night out that just can’t be missed. When it comes to shopping, the more the merrier and if there are cocktails and exclusive deals involved—even better. An answer to our prayers for this season’s Fashion’s Night Out, this Thursday twenty-two of our favorite SoHo staples will be offering sales (up to 30% off), styling advice, and even some free swag to all their number one fans. The evening’s all-star sartorial roster includes Kate Spade, Tibi, Theory, Helmut Lang, Michael Kors, All Saints, and more!
Can you believe there was once a time without the internet, Twitter, and Facebook? One has to wonder, how in the world did we manage to communicate effectively before the internet and cell phones? What advances we've made, and last night was a stark reminder of how far we've come. The 3rd Annual Fashion 2.0 Awards honored the technological leaps and bounds throughout the fashion industry. From great blogs, to great Facebook pages, to great websites; fashion lovers, techies, designers, and more came out to celebrate fashion online.
The evening, held at SVA Theatre, was hosted by the eccentric, Robert Verdi. Robert and I have crossed paths a few times before. Without fail, he always has something interesting and hilarious to say. I'll never forget the time I was interviewing him and a server walked by with a tray of appetizers to which he professed his love for hors d'oeuvres with, "I'm a tray chaser. That's a tray chaser, NOT a tranny chaser!" These are the sorts of things you can expect to hear from Robert Verdi, which is why I always love running into him.
Botkier handbags, designed by Monica Botkier, are inspired by creating functional bags with designer quality at a much more reasonable price. This miniature crossbody in luxurious Italian lambskin is the perfect gift for any fashion savvy girl on the go. The flawless lambskin comes in four shades, (we are loving the Graffiti Leopard!) features a clever money clip closure, and has just enough room for our keys, lip-gloss, and iPhone. What more could a girl ask for?
