Following in the footsteps of Vera Wang and Daisy Fuentes, The Hills star Lauren ‘LC’ Conrad reveals that she is launching a brand-new apparel line for Kohl's department stores. Debuting in October 2009, LC’s new “California chic” collection for Kohl’s will be available in 300 Kohl’s stores. Kohl’s will manufacture, produce, distribute and market the collection; while LC is in charge of the design aspect. The line called LC Lauren Conrad will consist of only apparel at first, but may expand into shoes; jewelry, handbags, intimates and sleepwear. Since our economy is going through a recession, LC has finally priced her collection $20 to $60. So why did she decide to take a break from the Lauren Conrad Collection to create the Kohl's line?
Britney Spears promotional ad for Candie’s was released today. The singer is the newest Spokesperson for the Kohl’s brand that has included Hayden Panettiere, Fergie, Hilary Duff and Kelly Clarkson in recent years. Britney is featured in the Spring 2009 print, online, outdoor and in-store ad campaign.
At first glance, Spears looks svelte—and aggressively photoshopped—in a pink polka dot one-piece swimsuit and black pumps for the main image. The star appears in several dresses and bikinis in the promo, while always donning the brand’s signature heels. She is frequently set-up against a gigantic wall of pink cotton candy—her favorite background.
“I had so much fun shooting the Candie’s for Kohl’s campaign. I got to wear the cutest clothes and they are perfect for summer!” said Britney after the shoot.
