Besides the epic performances and awards, one of our favorite parts of awards shows is the fashion! Some celebrities really called on their inner fashion gods and goddesses last night. And some just well... didn't. Take a look at some our favorite celebrities who got it right and rocked the red carpet at the 2013 American Music Awards last night.
She didn't rock a dress adorned with Biggie and Tupac's face this time around (although she did wear a 2 piece get up adorned with cats during her performance). Miley decided to keep it classy at this award's show and she strolled down the red carpet in a simple Versace pantsuit.
Lady Gaga is a New Yorker, and as many others deal with the reality of the impending closure of the iconic Roseland Ballroom, Gaga is planning on closing it out the right way. Beginning on March 28, Gaga will host four shows at the venue, which is a dramatic shift from her usual Arena show, but will be a great chance for fans to get an intimate show from the pop star. Tickets will range from $50 to $200, and buyers will receive a commemorative upon arrival. The tickets will be available in waves, as members of Gaga's LittleMonters.com get the first batch via random selection on Nov. 21, followed by Citi credit card holders via Citi's Private Pass Program on Nov. 22. General admission tickets go on sale on Monday, November 25 via Ticketmaster at 10am.
Get ready "Litte Monsters", because the "Mother Monster" is in New York City, and ready to set Times Square ablaze. Lady Gaga will be on hand November 14th for the grand opening of H&M in Times Square. The pop superstar has the honor of lighting the gigantic H&M logo and matching glitter wall (can't miss it) in Times Square located between West 42nd and West 43rd Street. The store will open at midnight, and stay open for 24 hours, surprising customers with fashion-firendly giveaways, exclusive offers, and of course, a chance to meet Lady Gaga herself. If that weren't enough of an incentive to camp out on one of the busiest streets in New York City, the first 1,000 people in line will receive an extra special all access pass ranging in value from 10 to $1,000.
With first single “Applause” leading the pack, Ms. Gaga attempts to bring back the Fame days, discussing celebrity and how screaming fans give her life. It’s a smart, refreshing first single from the singer, after her questionable choices from the Born This Way era, as “Applause” is easily a radio friendly, Top 40 hit with an extremely catchy hook.
Lady Gaga is known for her over the top performances; therefore, to keep us on our toes, she will soon be showcasing one that is out of this world--literally. In 2015 the singer will perform in outer space as part of Zero G colony, a three day hi-tech music festival. On November 6 she confirmed the news by tweeting, “#GagaInSpace2015.”
The three day festival is set to take place in New Mexico with Lady Gaga set to perform on the third day. The singer will take off from Spaceport America on board a Virgin Galactic Spaceship becoming the first artist to ever perform in outer space. According to reports, the singer will complete a month of rehearsals before taking flight because of the atmospheric change.
Although the album will not be released until November 11, fans can now stream Lady Gaga's newest album, ARTPOP, on iTunes radio in its entirety.
News of the stream came just before reports that Gaga and Troy Carter, her long time manager, are no longer working together due to creative differences.
