Mondays in the City

Monday may not be the most popular night to go out in NYC, but some restaurants around the city are promoting some tempting deals to lure you out of the apartment.

At Vero Wine Bar ordering a glass of wine, beer, or cocktail entitles you to a free panini. Prosciutto, spinach, and sopressata are among the little flat sandwich choices. Doubt a panini will stave off those hunger pains? Head over to Tre to take advantage of bottomless spaghetti, lamb meatballs and all-you-can-drink sangria for only $19, or bring your own bottle of wine with no fee. Bar Blanc Bistro is promoting Moules Frites Monday (aka a bowl of mussels, frites, and a draft beer for $18) while over on Gansevoort Street Macelleria is serving bottomless gnocchi for $12.99.

Wined and Dined: Summer Recession Eats and Vino Everywhere

With Summer Restaurant Week under way, there are a plethora of options for money savvy New Yorkers looking to be wined and dined at some of Manhattan’s finest; all while being able to save a few bucks on the side for those increasing subway fares. Aside from the list of bi-annual restaurant specials that we have come to appreciate, there’s a deal not found on the beaten path that is highly worth mentioning.

Lusso, one of Soho’s Italian cuisine newcomers, is currently offering $3 glasses of sangria every night weekly as well as 50% off all bottles of wine every Wednesday through the month of July (and hopefully continuing assuming it’s bringing in more bodies through the door). *Keep yourself posted on other deals the Italian eatery is offering via their Facebook page… last month they offered half off your tables entire tab!
