DJ Lindsay Luv Returns To New York

DJ Lindsay Luv is coming back to NY with a bang! Our favorite NY lady DJ had built up both her music biz and DJ career for the last decade in NY and one day decided she was ready for a new challenge and headed out west to take on Hollywood.

Seems her move couldn’t have been a better addition to her ever-evolving DJ career as since she landed in her new sunny home we have seen her playing the likes of the legendary Playboy Mansion, establishing residencies at Hollywood hotspots like the Mondrian Skybar summer pool parties, the Viceroy, TeaRoom and Las Palmas, DJing events for the LA Film Festival, tapings for The Bachelorette, Nickelodeon and a launch for Project Runway, being praised by style blogs for her stand-out fashion at many red carpet events and popping up in the gossip rags for hobnobbing with celebrities like Carmelo Anthony and Mel B at gigs. She is soon set to be the summer featured DJ in an interview by top brand Armani Exchange and has been popping up in worldwide publications like UK arts magazine and blog, Fault. In addition, her collaborative produced remixes for artists on the rise like Dangerous Muse and Kimberly Cole have been hitting the airwaves to great acclaim!

Chet Settin': For The Final Time

To All My Little Joonbugs,

While I hate to be the bearer of bad news, I need to let all my Miami bugs in on a little news that has been going on here in the Joonbug office in New York. This will be my last Chet Settin' column as I have taken on the role of Editor-In-Chief of Joonbug. With that comes some new territory. I am responsible for the New York site now ::gasp:: and I hope that we will achieve just as much success here in The City as we did in Los Angeles and Miami. Oh, how I will miss talking to you all on a daily basis and daydreaming about the beaches of Malibu and the shores of South Beach.

Chet Settin': Where You Should Be This Weekend

The week seems to have raced by as my mind is still stuck somewhere back around Tuesday. I tend to enjoy weeks like that because it means that I mentally arrive at the weekend as it's starting, rather than daydreaming about it three or four days before. So, as it turns out, my week was rather packed with this and that, but I'm looking forward to a nice relaxing weekend on Long Island. A rest from the pace of Manhattan is much needed, especially as the weather gets nice. And, as I will be on the Long Island Railroad for much of tomorrow, I will leave you with just a few suggestions for the weekend, but we will keep the pace slow and sirene as we gear up for Memorial Day in a couple weeks. Alright my little Joonbugs, let's get ready to romance the weekend, and I hope that you will find a little romance in your life as well!

TimeOut-Lindsay Luv's Got A Spread?

Our smokin' DJ Lindsay Luv has done it again. Becoming a bi-coastal music sensation, Lindsay appears in today's edition of Time Out New York with a complete spread dedicated to her inspiration and style. She states that her style is derivative of a "biker princess flanked in black and dripping with chains." The descriptive eloquence Lindsay possesses gives her fame as a national blogger, reporting on music trends, nightlife happenings and articulating through a flare as hot as her wardrobe.

Chet Settin': What Happened Over The Weekend

Good morning my Miami Joonbugs. I hope the late spring warmth is greeting you as you wake up. I have so many stories to tell you from this weekend, I just don't know where to start. So, as you may have heard, Joonbug and Fashion Indie hosted PROM Class of 2010 this past Saturday night at Espace in Midtown Manhattan. It was lovely to see everyone reminisce about their own high school proms, and I was surprised to see the guest's take on "adult" prom outfits. There were some best dressed, and as my column is not meant to attack or antagonize (we'll leave that to our Almost Famous writers), I will digress and leave out the worst dressed. I have highlights so I can keep you in the loop about what's going on over here in The Big Apple.

Luv$ It: Don't Mess With Texas

Oh festival season is upon us. Music loving masses have made their way from Lone-Star beer guzzling and indie band rockness at SXSW over to Tiesto-style fistpumping and pill popping madness at WMC. It is official that spring is in the air! That sweet smell of spring has fermented in so many ways... whether it is the overbearing smell of Hawaiian Tropic body oil and Axe Body Spray at Ultra Music festival or the musty smell of patchouli oil and body odor wafting through the urine soaked bathroom of Emo's in Austin Texas, there is no denying that Spring is a music lovers favorite time of year!
