The new residency dubbed 'USED + ABUSED' kicks off on June 6 and will run every Thursday until the end of September. Loco Dice has been one of electronic music’s leading curators in techno for over a decade and stated in a press release, "This year is the 15th anniversary of me playing on the island. It has been an incredible journey so far, and now it’s the perfect time for me to create a new special set of experiences for my people from across the globe."
The daytime series will transform Ushuaïa Ibiza into a utopian environment and will be immersed with the full Loco Dice treatment. Each week will feature a complete production overhaul with the venue being completely transformed to bring back that special terrace vibe that only Ibiza does so well. The party will see Dice’s artistic peers from across the house and techno spectrum join in to help create a new and exciting series of events for the coming season.

Ten miles of darkness and 2000 cars separated us from the festival we had only dreamt about. As we stared forward, excited and anxious, there was a faint flicker towards the sky and then the familiar explosion of fireworks in the distance. A roar ripped through the desert from the cars around us. Indian chiefs and their topless girlfriends yelled and cheered out their windows, as packs of neon spattered fur boots ran by on foot. This was the scene I had heard so much about. The one that would save dance music events

who: Tiësto, Röyksopp, STS9, 12th Planet, araabMUZIK, Awolnation, Calvin Harris, Cosmic Gate, CSS, Datsik, Dillon Francis, Mt Eden, Nero, Steve Aoki
what: An intensely euphoric weekend of dubstep, electropop, and happy hardcore put on by Insomniac Events
The bad news: Last year the festival was at Bicentennial Park, a significantly smaller venue than this year’s Bayfront Park. There was little to no cellphone connection available, probably because I was sandwiched in a mass of 100,000+ people. I can’t speak for the new venue’s cellphone abilities, but with an additional 50,000 people, I’m assuming the same problem will present itself. Your best bet is to set up sporadic meeting spots amongst your friends throughout the day, in case someone in your group gets separated.
