Typically, when an artist has a listening party for their new music, it's a huge affair and all around media circus. There's usually a handful of die-hard fans in attendance, surrounded by a swarm of press, and everyone is desperately trying to snap pictures and score exclusives. All of this is exactly what Afrojack was trying to avoid when he decided to do something a little special this past Tuesday in New York City.
Down in the Meat-packing District, a colorful cast of fans and friends gathered outside of Avenue, an illustrious 2-story gastro-lounge/event space, and waited patiently for the velvet rope to par and grant them access to this intimate private event. From 9pm to 11pm, before the venue officially opened for business, Afrojack spent his time talking to guests, having drinks, and most importantly, playing all the never-heard-before tracks from his upcoming album.
The latest infectious single from Zedd, has just gotten the visual treatment, bringing more light to the amazing piece of music. "Find You" features interchanging vocals and harmonies from Matthew Koma and Miriam Bryant, accompanied by Zedd's masterful electro house sound.
