First U.S. Joie Boutique Debuts Today on Madison Ave

Joie, a contemporary women’s line, is set to open the doors of their first ever U.S. flagship store today on 1196 Madison Avenue between 87th and 88th Street.

Based out of Los Angeles, the company embodies bohemian classics like flowing maxi dresses, linen pants and strappy leather sandals. The company began in 2001 with its luxurious cargo pant which has become a staple in their line. In 2007, Joie was purchased by Serge Azria, brother to BCBG’s designer Max Azria, and continued to infiltrate the market by incorporating a footwear line and the more casual but ever chic Joie Soft line. The new boutique will be carrying all lines.

Affordable Celebrity Fashion Lines

It’s a great feeling when we can wear what celebrities make, but sometimes, it may be out of our reach. For the younger age groups who love to be fashionable, they can now do it at a reasonable price. Thank you celebrities for feeling our pain of monthly bills!

Lauren Conrad of the Hills has come out with her clothing line, LC Lauren Conrad that is available at Kohl’s. There are still a few pieces that we can snatch up for our age and rock them for a night out.

Miley Cyrus and Max Azria for Walmart

Miley Cyrus and Max Azria, head designer for BCBG and Herve Leger, have released sample images of their 2010 collection for Walmart. The collection is a Junior's collection that is affordably priced. The line mixes the chic, fashion-savvy nature of BCBG Max Azria with Cyrus's teen-rocker edge--the result is a collection that looks pormising for the Walmart market.

Chicago's Stylish Streets

The spring issue of The New York Times T Style Mag features photographer Raymond Meier and model Natasa Vojnovic in the “City of Angels”. The future is now is Chicago where a “newfound vitality is fueling a boomlet in style and design”.

Chicago has been famous for it’s spectacular architecture since the Great Fire and the city’s rebuilding in 1871. Steel-frame skyscrapers, flat geometry and clean minimalism keeps the city at the cutting edge of architecture since its pioneering days. Although many may not attribute the same to Chicago’s fashion. What may have one been lost between the glamorous coasts is now found in this high end pictorial with city scenes from such well known Chicago stops as the stairs at West Wacker Drive, the Franklin-Orleans Bridge, South Franklin Street, Wabash Avenue, at the Lakefront by North Avenue Beach and the Quincy El train stop.
