IMG seeks to make invitations to fashion shows the highly covetable right of industry insiders it once was-- as they were before the sea of social media swept over fashion week. Catherine Bennet, IMG’s senior vice president and managing director, spoke earlier this week with the Wall Street Journal, telling them that “Fashion Week was becoming a zoo,” which has more than a ring of truth to it. Lincoln Center “has been swarmed with fashion bloggers, street-style photographers, and fashion fans…in addition to the hundreds of journalists and scores of celebrities.”
With what culminated in another remarkable season here in New York, the Spring 2014 collections conclude today with Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein and Marc Jacobs before all eyes turn across the pond for London Fashion Week.

The night was bright and cool Monday evening for a star studded spectacle that celebrated DKNY's 25th Anniversary and their spring/summer 2014 fashion show at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week.The show highlighted a collection of logo clad, brightly colored, somewhat 90's flashback of back to basic ready to wear. It was an all American homage of the brand through the years with Rita Ora closing the show.
NYFW has entered into the final stretch with only three more days remaining before the fashion-set heads overseas for the London, Milan and Paris outlets of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week.

Created by designers Brian Wolk and Claude Morais, both of whom have extensive experience in the industry - Wolk as costume designer, Morais as model - the label has gone on to be featured in numerous publications, from Allure to WWD. Winning the prestigious Fashion Group International Rising Star Award in 2011, the duo has since expanded their label to include menswear, accessories and even a nail polish collection available exclusively through Birchbox.
Named after the Italian word for "touch", the label which was founded in 1994 in St. Lucia, has come a long way from its terry cloth beach dress beginnings. Many a spotlight - and street-style photographer's lens - will be focused on the flurry of activity in and around Lincoln Center, the official venue for New York's Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, with all eyes on the action both on and off the runways.
