Danish DJ and Producer, MORTEN, pays New York City a wonderful tribute in his latest video for 'Perfect Drive.' Treading on deeper, techier territory, 'Perfect Drive' will be available on March 7th via Beatport. The deep bassline of the track is reminiscent of an underground warehouse sound and the orchestrated strings come together skillfully. Japanese Restaurant Week is all about honoring traditional dishes and original cuisine. This year, the event is celebrating the centennial of Tokyo Station, so many dishes will be revolve around the "100-Years-Old Flavors of Japan" theme, while others will represent different culinary regions across the country.
There will be 30 restaurants participating in New York City, including Go! Go! Curry!, Ramen Misoya, Sobakoh, and Yuba. Presented by Japan Week, a public-private partnership that promotes Japanese culture, food, and travel, the showcase will feature traditional dishes like Kanazawa-style Curry, Edo-Mae (Tokyo-style) sushi platters, and Mizutaki Hot Pot among many others.

The Finnish trance music duo, Super8 and Tab, will be hitting New York City this weekend. They will be spinning all night at Webster Hall this Saturday, September 14, as a part of the venues’ Brite Nites event. The duo has been killing it since they decided to join forces back in 2005. With their debut album, Empire, released in 2010 and a bunch of remixes under their belt, the boys have a nice collection of songs they are ready to showcase. One of them being their newest single “The Way You Want” – an energetic song that never loses a step and builds up into one of the nicest trance tracks that we’ve heard in a while.
David Molander opened up his solo show at Storefront for Art and Architecture at the beginning of August. Molander, a native of Stockholm Sweden, introduces his month-long presentation of an international metropolitan journey with support from the Swedish General Consulate and Arts Council.
At first glance of the feature, your first question is, “Where is the door?” Viewers enter the show through a puzzle-like wall display jutting out onto the sidewalk. The large facade panels hold images from the Occupy Wall Street Movement in 2011 and can be seen from both sides of the streets. The gallery physically tells the story of political unrest and the ever-changing state of New York streets, culture, and life, with the city itself as a backdrop.
