Legendary designer Zac Posen stood as the keynote speaker for the night noting “We are at the frontier of a new universe where we're able to communicate and be voyeurs,” adding that he’s “addicted” to social media. “It's up to all of us in the fashion arena to be responsible for how we create the voice and language and how we work in this new universe.”
The night was full of cheesy hashtags and hilarious anecdotes from the one and only Robert Verdi, who hosted the evening. More humor came through the night as Eva Chen, Lucky Magazine Editor-in chief was late and stuck in traffic and Verdi "winged it" with his own version of the Travolta Oscars disaster by reintroducing Zac Posen as ".. the wickedly talented ... Zain Pertersorn."
Sarah Jessica Parker played an iconic NYC fashionista on Sex and the City, inspiring us to dress fabulously like it's our job! The best news came with the launch of SJP's own shoe line! The SJP collection has a fitting name - SJP!
SJP was already photographed opening the store on Wednesday and we are so excited!
“This vision felt like a mere dream five weeks ago,” said Parker to WWD's Footwear News earlier this week. “The best part is having Nordstrom be enthusiastic about this particular brand and collection.”
Whether you are kicking it with the girls , searching for your soulmate, or snuggling up with your sweetheart - we want you to look just like the star you are with these glam looks from the Golden Globes. And to provide you with the perfect guide, we've teamed up with iconic Manhattan salon Pierre Michel Salons best. The focus of all these makeup looks is radiant skin. I love that all the ladies have decided to go with fresh glowing skin look . They all seem to be very minimal with beautiful highlighted cheeks and clean eye.
Even Olivia and Reese have a modified version of the smoky giving it a soft look with light browns golds and grays as opposed to the black .It gives the evening makeup look but a much softer appearance while still making the eyes pop.
Using a luminous finish foundation can give the skin that luster. Also a highlight powder or cream on the cheekbones to give the skin that glow . All opted for a nude lip or gloss as well except Zooey, who left the eye makeup natural and chose the lip as the focal pont with a bold red lip. Claret from Face Stockholm or Dragon Girl from Nars are a few of my favorites.
We've been psyched ever since Carrie Bradshaw Sarah Jessica Parker announced she was collaborating on a shoe line with Manolo Blahnik. So when Gayle King got an exclusive look at the collection with O Magazine, we couldn't wait to check it out.
SJP sat down with King and Adam Glassman, the creative director at O, at the Crosby Street Hotel in New York City to try on the much-anticipated foortwear. The Coveteur filmed a beautifully-lit video of the dress-up session, with shots of the gorgeous pumps and a soundtrack that made us feel oddly sentimental. A highlight is when Parker discusses the idea of the collection, which emphasizes the unexpected concept of colors as a neutral.
Haute off the press and coming our way this January is Jason Wu’s newest collaboration with Nordstrom. Word on the street is that this contemporary line will be in the $195-$1,700 price range. The collection will be 40 pieces consisting of shift skirts, a-line dresses, striped tops with floral skirts, and lighthearted touches to trench coats. The collection was inspired by the Mod fashion of the '60s --think Jane Birkin and Marianne Faithfull.
The 29-year-old explains his inspiration behind this collection and its character as a whole clothing line, “Instead of just doing ‘Jason Wu-for-less,’ the idea is to explore the other side of myself, I always see Jason Wu [the collection] as my aesthetic, my design sensibility. Miss Wu is my personality. [I] explore that facet of who I am- slightly more downtown, and with a more relaxed attitude.” (WWD)
The latest exciting news in retail collaborations comes as an unconventional mash-up between the traditional and the trendy. Nordstrom, the classic and conservative Seattle-based department store plans to partner with freewheeling, fast-fashion chain Topshop to deliver trendy, mid-priced merchandise to select stores (and online) as soon as—wait for it—September 10th! (Now that’s what we call fast-fashion!)
Remember the days of sleepover parties? You would prep for weeks before, looking for the cutest, new pajama set to show off to all your friends. While the nights of clay masks and "Light as a feather, stiff as a board" may be over, that doesn't mean you need to stop shopping for cute PJs. Below are five trendy options that will make you the envy of the 7th grade...ahem, 7th Avenue.

Whether it’s at the office, or on the streets, the LBD definitely speaks volumes and is a crucial essential no matter what your style is. This summer however, we are switching out our LBD for the Little White Dress (LWD) and have come up with some fabulous options that are sure to make as much of a statement as your favorite LBD!
This adorable dress by Jessica Simpson is perfect for any summer day activity. The crochet insert at the bottom is a lovely addition and adds a little more of a light, girly feel to the dress.
It’s clear that sparkles are an ever-present staple to a stylish wardrobe; as we’ve seen them take over dresses, handbags, shoes, and even cosmetics. Although they usually make their biggest debut during winter, and especially New Years Eve, they are now starting to take on more realms than one. Slowly showing up in summer accessories and numerous styles, the glittery ensemble is a definite yes for summer. However, as we saw over Fashion Week in February, they are taking all 4 seasons now as they made a very fashionable entrance in fall collections from Lanvin, to Badgley Mischka, and Blumarine as well. Instead of buying the sparkly styles for each season, we here at Glam Damn It have taken it upon ourselves to make your lives easier and your wallets a little fuller. Whether you’re a sparkle fanatic, or like it in small doses, we’ve got the sparkly goods that are perfect pieces to wear during summer, and transition into fall!
Summer is a great time to show off your one-of-a-kind style and purchase a few essentials for your wardrobe. We all have the plain white T, pair of ray-bans, cut-off shorts, beach bag and pair of loafers hiding somewhere in our closets, but this summer, its time to liven up those pieces up! Take a look at these trendy new ways to freshen up the basic pieces and help make a statement with your summer wardrobe.
The Not-So-Plain White T
Everyone has a basic white t-shirt, whether it's a plain V-neck or a scoop; it’s an essential piece in every woman's closet. Instead of grabbing for the simple white T, go for a cool neckline or an asymmetrical hem! We love the look of this White T by Diane Von Furstenberg as it takes a new, chic look to the stable wardrobe piece with its wide neck, thick, asymmetrical hem, and oversized sleeves.
