We loved Ciaté's Caviar Manicure in the spring, now a softer look has emerged for the upcoming autumn. Ciaté's Velvet Manicure kit includes a beautiful jewel-toned lacquer and a bottle of crushed velvet fibers that are sprinkled over wet nails. The end result? A deep, luxurious color with a lush and plush velvet finish.
While the shatter effect is still a favorite way to combine two colors among many, we love this new multicolored look for summer: gradient nails. Gradient nails look more difficult to achieve than they actually are, giving your manicure a statement-making look without much effort. By just using a sponge and two colors, you can personalize your nails to match any outfit, mood, or event!

Yes! You should cut it! For those of us that are contemplating chopping off our mane. Do it! It's a liberating feeling plus it adds instant edginess and sexiness. Here are some short hair styles that are not boring.
This cut is somewhat daring but can be worn in many ways. One would be surprised at how easy it is to transform this cut, from chic to rock, this style has a ton of versatility.
Our fave latest cut is the Asymmetrical. Bring this cut to your stylist and let them give it their own twist! It looks and feels great plus keeps you cool on these hot humid summer nights.
As the thrill of Black swan continues to live on (Check out Rodarte’s exhibit of Black Swan Costumes!), we can’t help but get psyched over the newest addition to the world of the demented ballerina. This addition, although not quite as demented as it is sweet, comes in the form of nail polish.
Last week Sephora by OPI launched its newest collection, titled Urban Ballerina. Although there is no direct affiliation with the now-famous Natalie Portman film, Black Swan, it’s not too difficult to guess where the inspiration came from. Here’s what Sephora has to say:
First it was our handbags that defined us, then it was our shoes, and now, it’s our nails. As winter reared its chilly head, we wanted dark and dramatic polish to pair with our heavy layers and pale pallor. So we turned to near black browns like Essie’s ‘Little Brown Dress’, deep plums such as OPI's ‘William Tell Me About OPI’, and blue-hued khaki’s like Essie’s ‘Sew Psyched’.
OPI has just released its holiday collection inspired by the major motion picture, Burlesque. The collection is made up of six glitters and six metallics, all of which are more than worthy to be painted on your nails this New Year's Eve.
Each color is packed with all the glitz and glamour a girl needs to have a show stopping night out on the town. The glitters are made up of a assortment of different colors - from purples and pinks to golds and green. The metallics also range in color from deep reds to golden coppers. The selection will keep you partying well into the new year.
The Burlesque craze hits the Hollywood screen and the worldwide OPI nail brand and Smashbox cosmetics are here to catch all the glitz and glamour of it this fall.
The OPI Holiday 2010 Burlesque Collection showcases 12 new glimmering shades of nail polish, inspired by the new film opening on Thanksgiving week. Some of the show stopping colors are “Simmer and Shimmer,” a light glittery blue or the pink in “Show it and Glow it.” If you’re into warmer tones for the season, the line also carries a pearl orange, “Rising Star,” and a vibrant fuchsia called “The Show Must Go On!”
