This past weekend, Manhattan Fashion Directory presented the Queen of the Downtown Scene, Patti Astor's first book at Clic Gallery. Patti Astor, famed performer, is known for her time as a ballerina, actress, and gallery owner. Her book, FUN Gallery...The True Story, is a memoir documenting her experiences as a dancer turned anti-Vietnam revolutionary who went on to open the most famous art gallery in the world, Fun Gallery.
Her memoir delves into the downtown days of the East Village, where Patti had adventures in her gallery with some of the most noted artists Keith Haring, Andy Warhol, Leo Castelli, and Fab 5 Freddy.
The book was edited by celebrity stylist, Angelique Max of Manhattan Fashion Directory and is currently being sold at Clic Gallery in SoHo.
