IN THE BOOTH
Interview with International Trance DJ Richard Durand

Recently, the Dutch Trance DJ Richard Durand made an appearance in New York City in hopes of being able to set sail on a boat party in celebration of the highly anticipated In Search of Sunrise 9: India compilation CD. Unfortunately, severe weather made the party unable to continue on, but we were able to catch up with Richard Durand to find out more on the release of two albums this year. In 2011 he released both artist album, Wide Awake as well as his 2nd time producing the In Search of Sunrise series. Although Durand wasn't able to play for his New York fans, he love shown for the city assures us that a return will surely follow soon.

IN THE HOUSE
In Search of Sunrise with Richard Durand

Massive Event sets sail with Richard Durand! On Sunday August 14, the dutch DJ sensation will return back to New York City to serenade us on a boat around Hudson River to celebrate his latest album release, In Search of Sunrise 9. Durand was last seen in New York last summer, hosting the album's 8th edition release.

In 2010, Black Hole Recordings had decided that the coveted In Search of Sunrise CD series, previously held by Tiesto, would be passed over to the incomparable Richard Durand. After attending last year's boat adventure with Durand, it is amazing how he is able to truly work the crowd. His enthusiasm and ability to make his audience go crazy, make this a party worth attending. Not to mention the scenery. As you get to sip vodka and dance to some of the best tech-house in the world, you also get a view like non other as you cruise underneath the Brooklyn and Manhattan bridges while the sun is setting. Pretty sweet deal if you ask me.
