With a brand new year ahead, Josh Cohen, better known as Stereoshock, has jumped into 2013 with a pretty solid landing so far. Just releasing his remix of NERVO and Hook N Sling's "Reason," the young producer is only continuing to prove he's serious about his work and has no intentions of slowing down. With that said, we here at Joonbug are proud to host Episode # 44 of Electric Nightlife, Cohen's podcast show that began just one year ago and has since received major playtime around the world as well as special guests such as Sandro Silva, Starkillers, and W&W.
When a rare opportunity comes your way, the natural reaction is to take it right away. Well, when Eric Prydz comes to the states, especially New York City, it shouldn't even be a question but more a programmed reaction that you'll be in that crowd. An icon to fans both in the mainstream and underground scenes, Prydz has championed a level of success through his music and producing skills.
While we caught a Prydz appearance over the summer at Identity Festival and again at his short show at Beekman, fans who missed him there now have a second chance to see the sensational Swede play two shows at Roseland Ballroom on November 21st and 24th.
When Eric Prydz announced he would be playing in NYC on Thanksgiving Eve, the Tri-State area knew they would be in for something special this fall. After an overwhelming response and sold out show, he announced a second show on Saturday, Nov. 24th at Roseland Ballroom.
This past summer we saw Prydz turn the Jones Beach Amphitheatre upside down at Identity Festival and when he caused a bit of a ruckus (in good fashion, of course) when his set at Beekman Beach Club was shut down and moved to Pacha at the last minute.
The progressive house virtuoso is a dime a dozen in the DJ world as it's a rare and intimate opportunity to catch one of his shows so it's one not to be missed! For more information and tickets click here.

In an attempt at breaking into the roaming day festival market, Sonar On Tour will no doubt rival industry leaders such as Identity and Day-Glow. Boasting artists like Die Antwood, Azari & III, and Tiga, Sonar is doing everything in their power to bring the excitement of their European event to their first full tour.
"Sonar On Tour" makes its New York City debut on Friday Nov. 2nd at Roseland Ballroom and will no doubt be a special beginning to their action packed circuit. Innovation is their objective and they will not allow this to be compromised at any level. Click here for tickets and info.
Sometimes the weekend has its way with you. Crusading about in the guise of an infinite booze-fueled horizon—only to pull the ole “bait & switch”—and hit you with the anvil-sized dose of mundane reality: the arrival of Monday.

A steady diet of nightly escapades lessens the sting of proletarian mundanity, while simultaneously sustaining one’s Dionysian impulses. Forego the slow degradation of ennui by sampling generously of this week’s party ambrosia!
"Welcome to the jungle, we've got fun and games!" Remember headbanging to that in your neighbor's living room when you were 7 years old? Well, maybe not, but either way, Guns N' Roses has announced a 6 stop mini tour that is set to rock NYC, Chicago, Silver Spring, and Atlantic City. This mini lineup is redemption for ignoring us last year during their massive 2011 tour that stopped everywhere but the east coast. NYC will get the greatest treat, taking 3 of the 6 shows at Webster Hall, Roseland Ballroom, and Terminal 5.
According to Rolling Stone, the band will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, Ohio just before kicking off the tour. Drummer, Steven Adler also told the magazine, "I personally just want to finish what I started with those jack-offs. We started off something, let's end the career playing together, at least once. I'd love to do a whole tour of the world. I personally – and I know that Slash and Duff feel the same way – we owe it to the fans to do a tour around the world. We haven't performed for over 20 years and they've stuck by us and believe in us."

As usual, Beyoncé continues her Thanksgiving holiday domination tradition with the release of a concert DVD. According to Beyoncé Online, a filming of her 4 Intimate Nights at the Roseland Ballroom, held in NYC this past summer, will be released on November 21. This is the fourth year in a row that the pop diva has released a live concert DVD during the Thanksgiving Holiday. She started back in 2007, when she released the well-received Beyoncé Experience DVD which catapulted her into mega-stardom and entertainment royalty. One thing is for sure: she’s smart. If she stays true to tradition, then there will be MTV, VH1, and ABC Thanksgiving specials during the weak of it’s release.
