Listen to Big Gigantic 'The Night Is Young' featuring Cherub

The hype surrounding Big Gigantic's forthcoming new album, The Night Is Young, has been steadily climbing since their epic two-night performance at the Roseland Ballroom in New York City for New Year's Eve and the release of 'Touch the Sky' as a free download for anyone who pre-orders the album, but it hasn't stopped there. Big Gigantic, a.k.a. Dominic Lalli and Jeremy Salken, amped up the anticipation and decided to let fans stream the title track to the forthcoming new album, The Night Is Young.

Big Gigantic Debut 'Touch The Sky' Live Video

Big Gigantic, the massive duo of producer/saxophonist Dominic Lalli and drummer Jeremy Salken, have been in a league of their own since the day they burst into the music scene with their unique use of live instrumentation to reinvent what people traditionally understand to be "DJ-based" music. Recognized for their extraordinary live show as well as a no genre is off-limits approach to both producing and performing music, Big Gigantic continue to make waves in the industry whether it's in the studio or on tour.

Event Review: Big Gigantic At Roseland Ballroom

In the city that never sleeps, New York offers the most outrageous and insane DJ gigs this time of the year. Although December 30th happens to fall on a Monday night, that didn't stop most New Yorkers from celebrating the 'Eve' of New Years Eve, two days shy of ringing in 2014.

Hailing from Boulder, Colorado, Dominic Lalli and Jeremy Salken, aka the duo known as Big Gigantic, indulged the crowd with some livetronica and dubstep beats that were nothing short of a treat for BG fans in the house. Their December 30th show marked the second edition of their back-to-back performances at Roseland Ballroom, and they certainly gave New Yorkers a reason to holler and stick around longer after their set time.

Event Recap: New World Punx at Roseland

We first saw New World Punx opening for Armin van Buuren at their debut arena show: A State Of Trance 600 at Madison Square Garden (listen here). Composed of trance titans Ferry Corsten and Markus Schulz, the duo began collaborating after playing some back-to-back sets at previous shows. When we heard they were on tour, this time as headliners, we leapt at the chance to witness their wizardry once again, this time at the historic (and, unfortunately, soon-to-be-closing) Roseland Ballroom. The show took place this past Saturday, November 23, and featured an incredible four hour set of lush sonic textures, soaring angelic vocals, and hard throbbing beats delivered straight to our eardrums from the power pair.

Event Preview: Big Gigantic in NYC

Hailing from Boulder, Colorado, the talented duo known as Big Gigantic is coming to New York City for back-to-back performances at Roseland Ballroom, and we will be there on December 30th! The event is a continuation of their Sky High Tour, which they began earlier in September.

Big Gigantic is notorious for their live stage performances that incorporate saxophone by producer Dominic Lalli and drums by Jeremy Salken. With festivals like Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza, and Ultra Music Festival under their belts, this duo is coming at you like a whirlwind with exciting livetronica and filthy beats.

Lady Gaga Set To Close Roseland Ballroom

Lady Gaga is a New Yorker, and as many others deal with the reality of the impending closure of the iconic Roseland Ballroom, Gaga is planning on closing it out the right way. Beginning on March 28, Gaga will host four shows at the venue, which is a dramatic shift from her usual Arena show, but will be a great chance for fans to get an intimate show from the pop star. Tickets will range from $50 to $200, and buyers will receive a commemorative upon arrival. The tickets will be available in waves, as members of Gaga's LittleMonters.com get the first batch via random selection on Nov. 21, followed by Citi credit card holders via Citi's Private Pass Program on Nov. 22. General admission tickets go on sale on Monday, November 25 via Ticketmaster at 10am.

Roseland Ballroom to Close its Doors in April

One of New York's most iconic music venues, Roseland Ballroom, will be closing its doors this April. No official announcement has been made yet, but an internal email between Live Nation and owner Larry Ginsberg. has been found by Billboard that speaks about Roseland's upcoming closing.

Roseland first opened as a "whites only" ballroom dancing club in 1919, since the music hall has been home to jazz, disco, rock and roll and more recently EDM. Roseland Ballroom has seen so many iconic music acts grace its stage. Everyone from Ella Fitzgerald to Nirvana to The Rolling Stones and Beyonce have performed at this famed music venue.

If the news about Roseland Ballroom's closing is true we are all very sad to see it go. Hopefully some amazing music acts can rock its stage for one last final goodbye!
