Blue Olive Market, an eatery featuring fresh ingredients and traditional Greek favorites, kicked off their first ever Weekly Wine Tasting and Pairing Event last Friday. Joonbug sampled the specially designed three-course meal (including expertly paired wines for each dish), and let us tell you: We were impressed.
This Mediterranean marketplace; comprised of various food stations, a marble wine bar, and small eating area; made its grand debut last month. With a focus on organic ingredients and fine imports, the hot spot prides itself on chef-centric cuisine and authentic Greek hospitatlity. They also house the best frozen yogurt we've ever tasted. That's right. Out of all the Pinkberry and wannabes in the world, this place's Greek fro-yo beats them all, hands down. But we'll get to that later.
The designs were both gorgeous and innovative, and sponsors RUSK did and amazing job with hair and beauty. The Nolcha Fashion Week is a leading award winning event, held during New York Fashion Week, for independent fashion designers to showcase their collections to a global audience of press, retailers, stylists and industry influencers. There were fashion elite in the best ready-to-wear streetwear seated around the runway awaiting the designs.

It was all about fashion, fashion and more fashion during this year’s Nolcha Fashion Week presented by RUSK. The events all took place in New York at Pier 59. Independent designers showcased their collections to a worldwide audience of stylists, press and retailers and there was an incredible turnout!
Katty Xiomara was one of the designers, showcasing her ready to wear collection, “Peanuts Played by Katty." Katy is a Venezuelan born designer with a very inimitable vision that’s showcased in her designs. Her signature style is very graceful, amorous and distinguished. You’ll definitely notice her moniker down the runway in her marvelous pieces.
Fashion Week is not only the most fashionable week in NYC, but also the week with the hottest parties and soirees. The first half of last week brought some amazing parties, but the second half of the week was just as fun. Check out what went on the rest of the week below:
Callula Lillibelle: Designer Melanie Fraser Hart showcased her Fall 2013 Callula Lillibelle collection at Hudson Terrace on Valentine's Day. The inspiration behind her latest collection was 'Puzzle Pieces in Motion,' and her muse was actress Christy Scott Cashman, who attended the event in one of the designer's signature coat dresses. Models worked the room and ballerinas posed around the salon, while guests enjoyed the view and Vision Vodka cocktails. Consuelo Vanderbilt Costin performed her hit "Feel So Alive." Guests included Jean Shafiroff, Michelle Marie Heinemann, Leesa Rowland, Steve Stanulis, Kathleen Giordano, and many more.
