DP: How did you first start in the Entertainment Industry?
DM: I first started in the entertainment industry by interning at MTV when I was 17 years old. I was going to NYU and simultaneously interning there. I eventually got hired as a production assistant and then a story coordinator/ associate producer. While I was still at NYU and working at MTV, a casting agent I met at a party one night asked me if I would come in and audition for a new show that Barbara Walters was producing. I went in and auditioned against 700 other girls and eventually was chosen as the "young one" on the show. I was only 21 years old and the youngest person ever in the history of daytime television to hold a permanent co-host position.
Hemsworth, 28, remembers his mom telling him, “’Chris, you were the girl' I’d speak to her about far more things than [my brothers] would and far more things than she needed to hear about, too. I was a chatty kid.”
He also talks about his early acting gig on soap opera, Home and Away, where he learned to man-up to his mistakes. He says, “I was able to make mistakes, and no one gave a sh— about me. You come to America, and, if you do a big TV show, then you can be overexposed, or old, before you’re new.” He later goes on to say, “You get the positive from an Australian soap without the negatives.”
Hey all you die-hard The Hunger Games fans out there, you can actually own where the film was shot! Well, that is if you have a measly $1.4 million lying around. The 72-acre location is located at the Henry River Mil Village in North Carolina. Just imagine being able to run around where Katniss and Peeta fought to stay alive. I think I just got goosebumps!
The property’s owner, Wade Sheperd, had said that he is sick and tired of fans coming and running around on his property, so he has decided to make a profit off if his land. Here’s what he had to say about the dilemma:
Here comes the neighborhood super hero, saving the day once AGAIN!
And no it's not Superman, or Spiderman, but good ol’ Ryan Gosling to the rescue.
A British journalist took to Twitter to announce that she was saved from being hit by a NYC taxi cab on 6th Ave yesterday, by none other than hunky actor Ryan Gosling.
The tweet read, "I literally, LITERALLY just got saved from a car by Ryan Gosling. That actually just happened. I was crossing 6th Avenue in a new pink wig. Not looking the right way because I am from London. Ryan Gosling grabbed me away from a taxi,” she continued.
Just when you thought models and musicians could finally have a happily-ever-after aside from David Bowie & Iman...tsk tsk.
One of the entertainment industry's most beautiful couples have called it quits after two years of dating. Maroon 5 frontman & The Voice judge Adam Levine, 33, and 8-time Sports Illustrated and Victoria's Secret model Anne Vyalitsyna, 26, have split according to her rep confirming with People magazine.
The solution to Adam's break-up blues? Perhaps a little rebound with another Anne...a writer of some sorts, with lots of witty pop culture commentary experience & talent...alright, never mind.
Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey
When: Dated on and off beginning in 1999, married in 2002, divorced in 2006.
Why They Split: Jessica reportedly chose partying over playing “Newlyweds.”
Even though Nick Lachey and Jessica Simpson are both taken, we miss having new episodes of The Newlyweds every week, so we'd be totally down for Newlyweds, Round 2!
