Celebrate in Style: 4th of July Resort Wear

Just like a little kid counting down the days until her next three day weekend, we cannot wait for the 4th of July to be here! Take a long, luxurious weekend this independence day, but make sure you do it in style. Whether your holiday plans consist of lounging on the beach, outdoor barbecuing or (God forbid) going into the office, we have something for everyone.

No matter what the occasion may be, a little white dress is always up for the task. If your 4th of July plans consist of lounging around and enjoying the sun, opt for something like this simple, flirty summer dress from Templerley London Resort 2012 collection. A solid white dress is a great starting piece for a fabulous July 4th wardrobe. Now, add some color into your look by sporting a navy blue 3.1 Phillip Lim leather tote or keep it simple with a turquoise Diane Von Furstenburg clutch. All that's left to do is put on some red lipstick and a pair of black heels and you're all set to celebrate America's independence in style.

Mrs. Ari Loves Temperley London

It's no secret that Entourage star Perrey Reeves is a fan of the brand: She's graced Temperley's runway show before and in 2008, she dazzled at the Emmys in a cream and red number from the line. Yesterday she was spotted at MILK Studios for the official unveil of the Spring/Summer 2011 line. Joonbug didn't want to pester the actress with questions or photos but we will say that she looked pretty interested in the collection of "Black Label" dresses - each inspired by the King Arthur era, and that fabulous Guinevere we've all heard so much about. Corsets, ruffled-edge embellishments, and steel-like fabrics... yes please.

Trend Alert: Winter White Dresses

Don't want to wear too much black whilst bringing in the New Year? I don't blame you. Put on a white dress that is sure to capture all the marks and stains caused by a night of excitement, new beginnings and regrets. The White Dress is not only a dramatic party choice, but perfect for the nights you'd like to pretend that you're an angel. With a variation of looks ranging from Red Valentino ($895) to Jil Sander ($1675) - channel your inner Temperley London catwalk and show just how angelic you can be.

Milk Studios vs. The Tents

If you haven’t noticed, many well known designers will not be showing this year at Bryant Park, that’s because a few of them- including Adam Lippes, Alexander Wang, Altuzarra, Band of Outsiders, Barbara Tfank, Costello Tagliapietra, Erin Fetherston, Pamela Love, Peter Som, Preen, Proenza Schouler, Temperley London and threeASFOUR (just to name a few) will be showing their Spring 2010 collections in the Meatpacking District. Milk studios will be partnering up with make-up giants M•A•C Cosmetics, to host their own set of fashion shows. According to the press release, M.A.C and Milk “will offer designers multilayered support; including space for their shows, presentations and press appointments. A designer will also have the option to hold castings, hair and makeup tests as well as look book shoots at The Milk Building (450 West 15th Street) throughout the duration of Fashion Week”.

Temperley London Opens Dubai Outpost

While many luxury retailers are cutting back costs, Temperley London opened up a new retail store in Dubai last week. The global recession has had less influence on the oil-rich region where luxury retail remains stable (and ski resorts in the middle of the desert remain popular). The 2,500 square foot space is outfitted in grand décor including an elaborate marble floor, 19th century French antiques, custom-made chandeliers and Temperley London fabrics. The Dubai store will offer ready to wear collections, including Black Label, accessories, a bridal boutique and a VIP area.
